An excellent hotel.

An excellent choice. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean.
The staff was always professional. Excellent communication via booking. Excellent price. Good breakfast. You can reach the center in 20 minutes with tram 22.
The hotel is located in a safe, residential area. Excellent Wi-Fi.

Kinda disappointed

It was quite a disappointment. Based on the photos and the Google reviews (it had a 4.1-star rating in April 2026), it looked like a comfortable, clean option with a nice blend of modern and classic styles. However, there were a few unexpected surprises.
The hotel room felt very small, the TV was outdated (and having a newer model was important to me so I could connect my devices), and the bathroom was tiny. The shower stall was far too cramped and lacked any ledge or shelf for soap, shower gel, shampoo, or other toiletries (though it's worth mentioning that the water pressure was good). There was also very little counter space around the bathroom to store anything.
Finally, the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. While we're sure the floors were vacuumed and the beds were made, we had serious doubts about the bathroom cleaning (specifically the toilet and shower stall), as well as whether the towels were actually changed. The surfaces in the room itself also appeared dusty.
On a positive note, the breakfast was good.
Honestly, it seems like a decent choice for a short stay if you're looking for something budget-friendly. We stayed for 6 days, and for us, it just wasn't the best option.

Great value for money

All good, clean, comfortable, breakfast fine, fantastic value for money, good tram connections. However, just one tip, the route from the local tram stop, Drinopol, has 79 steps! If coming from the airport with luggage, use the 191 bus to Rozynova, from there it’s an easy 10 minute walk. By tram the steps can be avoided by getting off at Marjanka, its uphill, but not steps.

We stayed in Rooms 11 and 22 from 7–10 July as a family of four (two adults and two teenagers).
Check-in and check-out were both quick and hassle-free. The reception staff were friendly, helpful and happy to provide useful local information.
The location worked well for us. It’s within walking distance of the town centre, with a couple of handy mini markets nearby for water and other essentials. The tram stop is only a short walk away and is accessed via a flight of steps.
The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were quiet, and the views from Room 22 were excellent. Bed linen and towels were spotlessly clean.
A fan was provided in each room. It was a little noisy but did the job, and the opening windows allowed plenty of fresh air through the rooms.
The only real downside was the bathrooms in both rooms. They were clean but dated and well past their best, and could do with a refurbishment.
Breakfast was good, with a typical continental buffet offering plenty of choice.
Overall, Hotel Wilhelm worked well for us. We’d happily stay again, although updated bathrooms would make a noticeable difference.

Highly recommended!

We arrived in Prague in a downpour. Check-in was at 2:00 PM, but since our arrival was scheduled for 10:00 AM, they were kind enough to let us check in early and get settled in our room.
Cozy, clean room with everything necessary.
The staff is professional and very willing to help us with every request. We didn't have umbrellas and they provided them for us.
It is very close to the tram 22 stop, through which it is possible to reach the main attractions of the city.
For our return, since our flight was very early, they had a rich breakfast ready for us that we were able to enjoy before leaving Prague.
To the Hotel Wilhelm staff I can only say: "Dekuji! ❤️"
