The Best Guesthouses

This was the best guesthouse! The host Maria was amazing, she was so charming and went out of her way to help us with anything we needed. The house was cozy and meals were amazing, almost everything served was homemade it at least local. The views are stunning, showers are warm, and the wifi is great!

Damn Authentic

Maria made sure that we felt comfortable at all times. We got the best food while touring albania from this place, even equipped us with picnic baskets when we were hiking. Whilst her english is not the best, it is enough. The only downside of this place is that some rooms have loud termites in the ceiling that gnaw all day and night and may disrupt sleep.

Disgusting hospitality

A vulgar aggressive woman is running the house, Maria kept yelling at everyone during our entire stay there creating a terrible atmosphere. terrible food, far away from the center. Grossly overpriced. Stay away

What a wonderful stay !!!

Maria, the host is a great cook ! Very kind hospitable person ! Rooms are clean and warm and beds are very comfirtable too !
Maria will make you a great meal or coffee/tea at any time you want !
The place is in the northmost part of the theth valley so its bit of a walk from theth village. But I loved the location it was very quite and away from all the tourists and hiking paths toward montenegro starts very close to this place.
Maria doesnt speak english at all so better learn few albanian words related to the stay atleast.. But still I had an all inclusive guest house with great meals and i loved it ! If i ever go to theth again this is the place I'm going to stay !

One of My Favourite Life Experiences

Maria and Joni have a beautiful home in the heart of Theth’s National Park. They live off the land and everything that Maria cooks up is homegrown or homemade.
Maria’s English is better than my Albanian but lots of our communicating was done by a friend on the phone or through acting. This added to the experience.
Maria’s family couldn’t have done more for us - arranging shuttles, showing us around, translating and so on.
It really was the perfect place to stay for hiking, visiting the waterfall, trekking to Blue Eye and general mountain sightseeing.
There is no WiFi so evenings were spent in front of the log fire, reading. It was just perfection!
