Tasty good quality food in Esrm and cosy environment.

Five friends went to the Berridale Inn for lunch today. We ordered several dishes and the food was delicious and excellent quality. The menu is interesting with typical pub food but also some great additions to the menu. Inside was warm and comfortable. Looking forward to returning.

New owners, great food, friendly and welcoming experience

A great country pub with good food and wonderful owners. Although only open a few days when we attended and the new owners still finding their feet, this place was excellent.
A large group of us descended on the pub for dinner and drinks. The kitchen worked very hard and the private room was a very nice touch.
When the new owners have sorted out the teething problems, this will be a great country pub with good wines and good food.
This will definitely be our go to place when we return to the town as we regularly attend the area.

A comfortable night

The Inn is ideally placed at the centre of town but with the excellent in-house bistro there is no need to venture out. Cosy and welcoming on a cold night there is a good atmosphere and friendly staff. The rooms are commodious, especially for families. A pleasant stay.

Terrible

Even though the accomodation is cheap, you expect there to be a minimum standard. The room we stayed in was disgusting.
The beds were old and creaky, you could feel the springs under you while you slept.
The room was dirty, not styled and very unpleasant to look at.
The bathroom was tiny, mouldy and the light didn’t work.
We complained to the manager who offered us a free dinner at the restaurant to compensate. However, when we went to redeem our offer, they refused to give us the dinner and said that they were no longer offering it.

Good value for money.

The room was reasonable priced. It was basic but was big, very clean and comfortable. The shower was big with great water pressure, although the sliding door did rattle when it was windy outside. The pillows were quite thin so I had to use two. The tea/coffee/biscuit supplies were good. I ate dinner in the hotel restaurant and found the meal to be generous and reasonably priced.
