Impressive staff and stay

The room was clean - quiet - staff so kind and friendly. A step up from other accommodation options in Darwin that are similar in price. Do yourself a favour and stay here - was amazing - restaurant amazing and prices the same as over the road in crowded pubs really. Staff were amazing in all areas - would def stay again.

Outstanding Service and Hospitality
We had a wonderful three-night stay at the Hilton Darwin and couldn’t have been happier with our experience. From the moment we arrived until we checked out, every member of the team made us feel genuinely welcome. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The breakfast each morning was excellent, with a great variety of fresh, delicious food and friendly service. A very special thank you to Runa, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Her kindness, professionalism, and warm smile truly stood out and made us feel valued as guests.

Bed bugs
A two night stay in an executive king room on level 15. A week after checking out we are still on medication for the BED BUG bites.

However, I would like to assure you that Hilton Darwin has a strict and comprehensive pest control program in place, including regular inspections and preventative treatments, and we have no evidence of bed bugs within the hotel.
In the Northern Territory, sand fly bites are unfortunately quite common and are often mistaken for bed bug bites, as reactions may not appear until several days after exposure. In addition, sand fly bites can be particularly irritating and, in some cases, may take up to 10 days or longer to fully heal.
While I understand how concerning this situation must be, our records and ongoing pest control monitoring do not indicate any bed bug activity in the hotel. Guest safety, comfort, and cleanliness remain our highest priorities, and we maintain rigorous procedures to ensure our rooms meet Hilton's standards.
We genuinely regret any discomfort you experienced and appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention.

Hiltons aren’t what they used to be.
It didn’t start well when my travel agent rang to speak to the concierge to arrange a hairdressing appointment for me and was told there is no concierge and they don’t make appointments for guests. They suggested she google instead. When I arrived I found their next door neighbour is a hairdresser and there were numerous in the block. We also realised we needed an extra night because the arrival time of our Qantas flight was 12.30am. I certainly didn’t want to sit up in the lobby until check in time. They charged $650 for that half night ( no breakfast included) over my travel agents objections even though I had paid about $450 for each of the other two nights. Their website said the king Harbourview room began at $340! The room was nice enough and roomy but housekeeping was sloppy. My neatly folded pyjamas were put on the floor, dirty cups and plates never removed and my pet peeve, room service trays left in the hallway outside other rooms all day and night. I noticed a Novotel on the waterfront during our stay and it is much cheaper. I’d stay there next time.

While our website may display “from” rates, these are indicative and based on lower-demand periods or advance purchase availability, and may not apply during peak times.
I regret that the assistance provided for arranging a hairdressing appointment fell short. While we do not operate a traditional concierge desk, our team should always aim to provide helpful local recommendations. Independent local businesses manage their own bookings, and appointments typically need to be made directly by guests; however, the guidance provided should certainly have been more accommodating and proactive.
Your comments regarding housekeeping standards are concerning and do not reflect the level of service we strive to deliver. The matters you’ve noted, including handling of personal items, clearing of used crockery, and hallway presentation, have been shared with our outsourced housekeeping leadership team for immediate review and corrective action.
