Excellent, and helped along with some little extra touches

We only had one night here and were more than happy with our stay. Location is good, close to the centre of town in a fairly quiet street. The room was very spacious, even after accommodating a lounge, a small table and a couple chairs and queen bed. Bathroom clean and also quite spacious. Bathroom amenities quite dated - like sliding shower doors - but everything worked well. Kitchen bench space included standard offerings like microwave oven, and also a kitchen sink and drainage area. Always a big plus from me for that, not having to fill the kettle in washbasin.
One final thing and a great touch, outside every couple of rooms the motel provides taps, buckets and windscreen wiping gear. Wr love that. Would definitely stay here again

Stale cigarette smoke smell needs to be prevented.

The Yambill Inn deserves all the favourable things said in recent Tripadvisor reviews, but is letting itself down by not preventing the smell of stale cigarette smoke in its rooms. I was dismayed with the smell in our room and asked for a different room, but it was the last available. I tried to exchange the air in the room by leaving the window open and running the aircon fan on high for over an hour. But I continued to notice the smell on and off, until we left next morning. What I suspect is when people smoke outside their room, the smoke drifts straight into the surrounding motel rooms through any open window or door and permeates into the soft furnishings and carpet. Due to the design of the rooms, there is no real cross ventilation of air. The Yambill Inn provides an ashtray at every table and chair setting outside every motel room. I suggest they remove all of these ashtrays and ban smoking both inside and outside the rooms. They could designate an alternative area for smokers away from the motel rooms.

Will be back when next in Griffith

We stayed for 4 nights. The room was clean, the staff service exemplary and location was walking distance to Banna Ave shops. We had one situation where the shower would not turn off completely resulting dripping noise all night. When reported to the manager, he arranged to have a plumber fix it immediately. Cannot emphasize the service and overall establishment excellence enough.

One night stay on business

Stayed one night on a business trip. The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The walls are a little thin, so I could hear everything going on next door. Parking was good, and despite being in the middle of town, the area was quiet.
Check-in was smooth, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Quiet, clean and spacious

The double room was really spacious including a couch. The room was spotlessly clean. Even the shower was spotless yet clearly fairly old in style. Very comfortable bed and blockout blinds. Very quiet area and close to pubs and food options. Friendly manager. Easy parking.
