Great wee hotel in great Sydney location.

A great wee hotel. Room excellently appointed. Coffee, tea and fridge and cooking facilities. Staff friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The location is great, too. First of all, beautiful view of the Harbour from the room. Very close to King’s Cross station. On a street full of character and history, and lots of interesting shops and eateries. The perfect hotel in a great location in Sydney. From here, we could easily walk to St Mary’s Cathedral and other central locations, but transport is also very handy. Highly recommended hotel.

Fantastic place to stay in Sydney.
Great location with an easy walk to Sydney Harbour, Botanic Gardens and Opera House. Many fabulous restaurants in the area, just a 5 or 10minute walk.
The whole area is lively and vibrant.
I will always stay here in Sydney.

Grest value in excellent location

Needed a reasonable well located hotel with parking. MacLeavy ticks the boxes. It's not the ritz. But room size was good. Location was very convenient for city and eastern suburbs. Carpark was great. Room quite tired but very clean. Bathroom looks to have had an update Staff were all lovely. nice choice of cafes and restaurants around. For the price and location I couldn't be more satisfied

Weekend Getaway

Our usual consistent and enjoyable stay at The Macleay. The staff are friendly and very efficient. If wanting a longer stay I could highly recommend The Macleay.

love this place

another successful overnight stay. twin bed experience with a friend. windows that opens. yes. real fresh air. and (this visit) a view of the harbour. not to mention the ridiculously helpful reception desk. and secure (paid) parking without the ‘car park nearby’ fiasco. thank you.
