Great food

Over from England to visit my sister and husband. Eat here around a half a dozen times. Food consistently good, Lamb shank was superb, Staff always very pleasant and welcoming.

Great place to stop

Clean, comfortable and great location
Staff were nice and friendly
3 different meals ordered and all three were very nice, generous serving. Great value.
Chicken schnitzel was really chicken, good quality, perfectly cooked.

Don't Slam The Office Door

I recently attended the hotel with my wife for dinner. I thought the food was good and reasonably priced. We chose what I thought would be a quiet table over near the managers office in a corner. We enjoyed a glass of wine as we dined. However our attendance was constantly interrupted by the slamming of the office door with the manager giving the impression he found this entertaining. Is the manager slamming the office door evidence he is in the building ?

Good

Room was very clean and bed was comfortable
For a pub room its the best ive seen
Staff were very friendly
Meals were nice
Winners at rhe Friday night raffles.
Coffe,tea,sugar and shampoo x conditioner provided and room was cleaned everyday
Only negative would be that there was not a non smoking pokie area.

Don't stay there!!!!

Gave it a 1 in rating, because otherwise I couldn't make a review!!! What a terrible place to stay. We stayed 5 nights. Every time we went to use the water, it was barely lukewarm. 2 seconds at the max, then went so cold. You barely had time to wash your hands after using anything in our room. We could only have cold showers each day, because we didn't even have barely lukewarm water. We brought it to the attention of the Hotel the next day after our arrival. We were very nice. We were told "oh that never happens here". Fobbed off! That evening same thing. Only, no lukewarm water at all. Next day told them again. Cleaner said, it mostly happens on the other end of the hotel. Complained again. Nicely. The manager said he would go up to our room and check. He came down and said, "it is hot water coming out. We went straight back to our room. Guess what? It wasn't even lukewarm!!!!! The next morning was exactly the same as before, except, there was no lukewarm water. Complained, again, very nicely, to the same Manager. He said, "no one had complained before about this. Didn't point out it was him we actually complained to. Next day same thing. No lukewarm water at all. A different manager came up to our room & checked the water. She said, "oh, we could try the room opposite ours, it had hot water. But the air conditioner didn't work". Hubby checked that bathroom too. No hot water at all. We were told by that manager when a room was available, we could shift rooms. We thought what's the point in doing that & having to put up with the same thing. We were Not offered a discount at all for all the inconveniences we had to endure. Not even a free drink or meal was offered. We were told there was no refund at all when we said we wanted to leave. I certainly do not complain about other places or meals. I just don't go back there. Tell my friends. So therefore Narwee Hotel, you have lost money by being so horrible. Please take heed of my review and stay away. You will lose money by being there. Food was something covered with mashy green sauce. Don't know what that was. It was not mushy peas. Room was not cleaned. Holes in wall. Broken fly screens. Missing bathroom fixtures, that were in the vanity cupboard. Narwee Hotel made us sign a 'no fault guarantee' that they could not be liable for any offence or accident, damage, personal accidents, criminal offences made by them or anyone employed by them or any patrons. Please don't just sign stuff when you check in. Always read it before. I'm sorry this is a long review. It couldv'e been longer by including everything!! Oh there was one good point. One of the bartenders was happy with me because I commented on her hair and nails. The rest of the staff were terrible. It looked liked we had invaded their space & they'd have to take time out of their day to serve us. Very grumpy!!!!
