Disappointing
Disappointing. We booked the two bedroom suite for a discounted price, which should be the maximum. The original price was 225 per night, imho too much for what we got.
This suite 'with the Sissi experience' was two bedrooms with a shared entry and a shared bathroom, thats about it.
The hotel was in a building that seemed abandonned, it felt like a scene of The Shining when entering at night. Bikes parked in the hallway, a bar that hadnt been used for a while, a dark sitting room with a dusty piano and elevator barred with furniture.
Downsides:
- No lobby (checking in was in the hotel on the opposite of the street),
- no elevator (four floors of hotelrooms),
- no climate control or airco.
- No coffee/tea facilities in the room or building
and worst of all:
- no curtains, just voile. One of the bedrooms was next to an adjacent building with a bright skylight, so our bedroom lit up as if it was daylight. There were synthetic eye masks, we thought it was a kind gesture. It was a neccesity, unfortunately. Combined with the synthetic duvet, i had a terrible night sleep. Such a shame, because there also are plussides:
- The matress and pillow were firm but good,
- the shower was hot with good waterpressure.
