Restaurant for the better fresh fish dishes

In this lovely village where you can be a tourist without feeling like a tourist, where you can blend in with the locals, where the charm of the village remains without selling their soul to the mass tourism, you have this nice fish restaurant. The main focus is the fish, but some other dishes are available for those who prefer something different. Do keep in mind the kitchen might close a bit earlier, which is not that strange in this area.
The lady who was serving the tables did an excellent job and made us feel home and very welcome. Despite being busy a personal touch and created time for answering questions and helping out in making our choices. The second time we came back she even welcomed us and reminded we were there before. Our compliments, not happening often.
The fish dishes were nice and tasty. Good size portions and for very reasonably prices and of good quality. We really enjoyed the times we had dinner here. When we are in town again then we will be back again as it is one of our favorites.

Refused internet connection - Simply rude staff

Service:
We were guests at their restaurant without staying at their hotel, and were refused the connection to their internet because we were not their hotel guests. The reason given was that hotel guests provided their passport. I find this totally unacceptable, and in fact stupid if they want to attract customers especially those from outside Austria.
Food:
They praise themselves as a seafood restaurant. I ordered a fish platter - all fish were deep fried, and vegetables were so overcooked you might as well eat mash.

Aanrader

Wat een verademing na in Duitsland gezeten te hebben. De bazin een frisse vriendelijke verschijning, de kamers net vernieuwd en waaauw! Het eten verzorgd! En natuurlijk is lofer een prachtige omgeving! We kregen zelf gratis tickets om met de skilift naar boven te gaan van de bazin. Aanrader !

Großartiges Essen in liebevollen Ambiente und tollem Service

Wir verbrachten einen schönen Abend im Rahmen einer kleinen Feier in der Forellenstube, sehr geschmackvolle, liebevoll angerichtete Gerichte, egal ob Fisch oder Fleisch , es hat geschmeckt, sehr freundliche Bedienung

Geweldig en heerlijke ontvangst

Al jaren komen we in Lofer tijdens de zomervakantie. Altijd gaan we een paar keer eten in de Forellenstube. Het is niets aparts maar de gerechten zijn lekker en in overvloed. Vanuit dit restaurant kun je een heerlijke wandeling maken naar het eindpunt van de stoeltjeslift boven op de berg. Of als eindpunt, met de lift naar boven en wandelend naar beneden. Je kunt eventueel ook een kamer of appartement huren. Leuk authentiek Oostenrijks restaurant, we komen zeker terug.
