Very nice - I tend to avoid apartments and use ‘real’ hotels but this was a really decent stay. More space because it’s a one-bed apartment, but with a proper reception handling arrivals and checkouts. A bit out of the city but excellent for the underground just a few hundred metres away which went direct to most of the key spots.

A harsh experience

I was very frustrated because there was water damage after 2 days. There was no help carrying suitcases down, nor was there help with finding a hotel, because we all had to move out; I had booked for 10 days and had to find a hotel for 8 days, and that at 7:00 PM, on a weekend with many events in Vienna and fully booked accommodations. We carried the suitcases down 24 floors, the water running over our feet. Some guests were crying because it was so exhausting. And the icing on the cake was that the refund for the remaining days was promised, but then, without further information, it was not communicated that we had to take care of it ourselves via booking.com. I only found that out today after waiting over a month, because we were asked for that, i.e., for patience. And the email from district living was so perfunctory that for the first time I have to leave such a bad review.

Disapponting long term stay, avoid it

I have been living at District Living for four years, since June 2022, so my review is not based on a short stay or a temporary inconvenience. I have seen the building evolve over time, but unfortunately I have also seen its gradual decline.
What was once a relatively convenient and promising long-term accommodation option has progressively become less attractive, less reliable, and harder to justify financially. The recent water damage incident and the way it has been handled are only the latest and most serious example of a broader pattern.
Over the years, the management of the common areas has become increasingly poor. Shared spaces often feel neglected, services have been repeatedly reduced or made less accessible, and the overall standard of the building no longer matches what residents are paying for. At the same time, costs have continued to increase, including hidden or unexpected charges that make the real monthly cost significantly less predictable than advertised.
For short stays, District Living might still be acceptable depending on the price and expectations. But for anyone looking for a stable long-term home in Vienna, I would be very cautious. The concept may look convenient at first, but over time it can easily become a trap: expensive, inflexible, and increasingly disappointing.
After four years as a long-term tenant, I can no longer recommend District Living to people looking for a reliable place to call home.

Complaint About Extremely Poor Conditions and Unprofessional Staff Conduct

I am writing to express my immense disappointment regarding my stay at your property in Vienna, which was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had.
First of all, the apartment was absolutely uninhabitable due to the extreme heat. The temperature exceeded 35°C, and there was neither a fan nor a functioning air-conditioning system. I reported this issue several times to the reception staff, explaining that the heat was unbearable and that I was close to feeling unwell. Instead of taking the matter seriously, I was simply told that "it was normal" and that "the entire building was like that." However, it was obvious that something was not functioning properly in my apartment. Sleeping in such conditions was nearly impossible.
In addition, the blinds did not provide proper darkness, meaning I was woken up every morning around 5 a.m. by the sunrise. As a result, getting any decent rest was impossible.
The cleanliness and condition of the apartment were also unacceptable. Several kitchen utensils were dirty upon arrival, which raises serious concerns regarding hygiene standards. Furthermore, parts of the ceiling appeared unfinished, giving the apartment the appearance of being under construction rather than ready to accommodate guests.
I was also surprised to see that the elevator seemed unfinished and not in a condition that reflects what one would expect from a professional hospitality establishment.
Moreover, no soap whatsoever was provided in the apartment, not even for washing hands. In any hotel or serviced apartment, especially at a time when hygiene is essential, this is completely unacceptable. When I asked the reception for soap, I was told to go and buy it myself, and the response was delivered in a particularly rude manner.
I would also like to report the behavior of a member of the reception staff, a tall man with whom I had several very unpleasant interactions. He was disrespectful, cold, rude, and did not even greet guests or say goodbye. His attitude was entirely inappropriate for someone working in hospitality and customer service.
Finally, I was shocked by the behavior of the night security staff. Between approximately 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., this individual appeared to be hosting people from the hotel in a completely inappropriate manner and was also sending intimate and highly inappropriate photos to certain individuals within the property through dating applications. Such conduct demonstrates a severe lack of professionalism and seriously damages the reputation of your establishment.
Overall, I am deeply disappointed by this stay and by the complete lack of professionalism, customer care, and consideration shown by your staff. The condition of the property and the conduct of several employees fell far below any reasonable standard of hospitality.
I will certainly not recommend your establishment to anyone, and I sincerely hope that appropriate measures are taken to address these issues.

Everything that is necessary

An apartment hotel that is predominantly used by very young people.
Interior design has a cold concrete look, which is balanced out on the higher floors by a magnificent view.
Spacious and clean.
The bar with a terrace on the 33rd floor is open from Tuesday to Saturday. Not really cozy. But again, there is a fantastic view of the Danube and the Prater. Not really centrally located, but the connection to public transportation is excellent.
Conclusion: definitely recommendable due to the price-performance ratio.
Excellent service, dreamy breakfast, and genuine warmth.
