Never disappointed!

Can not say enough about this wonderful hotel and staff. Our second visit and only positive reviews from us. Our suite was clean, comfortable and felt like “home”. The staff is professional, genuine and care immensely for this hotel. We will be back!

A Hidden Gem

We stayed at this hotel for 3 weeks beginning December 2022. We could not believe our good fortune in booking this hotel. The hotel is charming, impeccably clean with an outstanding, friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in the suite which was comfortable and felt like our home away from home. The daily breakfast was also a bonus. What made this hotel a five star for us was the staff. We have already booked for 2023. There is no other place we would consider staying in.

Like Visiting Your Family in Vienna

For the second time in four years, we had the great pleasure of staying at the family-owned Hotel Jäger for our one-week stay in Vienna. Most of the staff members who were there in 2015 were also there to greet us, including our good friend Claudia who made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. The morning after, we were fortunate enough to have Lili accompany us to the nearby tram station, helping us to get our one-week pass for the short ride downtown. And that was after a delicious breakfast (outstanding smoked salmon and homemade cake and jams) in the cosy dining room where each morning, Kova kept the same table ready for us by the window.
It was also while we were having breakfast the day before we left that family member and manager Andrea took care of our check-in at the airport. And at 6:30 the next morning, while we were waiting for our taxi, Andrea's mother Helene made it a point to come in to wish us well and thank us for our visit.
In our traveling experience, that is the kind of personalized and caring attention that makes the Jäger stand out from the rest. No wonder it is still thriving after close to 110 years. Can't wait to return.

Far from city center and tired accommodations

I would only recommend Hotel Jager during the warmer months and if you have a car. It's far (a half hour) from the city center and any decent restaurants or amenities. Also the rooms are almost creepy--like an old aunt died in there or something. Everything is small and cramped. Staff is not very accommodating or helpful.
