From the moment we arrived, this resort exceeded every expectation. The manager greeted us at the dock with a warm smile and that hospitality never wavered for the entire trip.
Our room was spacious, spotless, and had a stunning ocean view that made waking up feel like a dream. The bed was incredibly comfortable, especially with our little one.
The patio had a beautiful view and the top floor was even better.
Honestly, it’s rare to find a resort where every detail feels this well thought out. We left already planning our next visit with some friends to take advantage of the space. Highly, highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly luxurious getaway.

The resort was ok… this time around wasn’t as great. The staff in the morning at Lotus specifically a young woman… wasn’t very helpful. She made it like a chore to served. The staff at lotus at night was great. The mice on the resort is bad.

Take advantage of the cheap ferry rides to North Caye Caulker. Don’t sit at the resort the whole time. The true fun is less than 2 miles away.

From the beautiful views to the spotless and spacious lodging to the friendly employees, Blu Zen is a 10! Take it from this Type A, germ-a-phobe, this resort made us feel like the world didn’t exist and that paradise wasn’t just a concept but real life. Take the trip here. It is so worth it! The pools are peaceful and overlook the sea. The free bikes to travel to Bliss Beach are reminiscent of those tween years. The food is good. And, the feeling of safety is appreciated. (24 hour security guards who stroll the property and are visible at all times.)

The resort is absolutely beautiful. The rooms, pool, gym, and overall property exceeded my expectations. If I were rating the amenities alone, this would easily be five stars.
Unfortunately, poor communication took away from what could have been an amazing stay. When I arrived, the complimentary resort boat was out of service. I understand things happen, but as a first-time visitor I was immediately approached by locals offering transportation. One person gave me incorrect information, and because I had no way of knowing who actually represented the resort, I made decisions that ended up costing me money.
The most frustrating part is that I didn’t find out until my last day that resort staff wear blue shirts. Had I known that from the beginning, I could have avoided the confusion and being misled. Because the boat wasn’t running, I also spent nearly $200 on golf cart rentals that may have been unnecessary with better guidance.
I also discovered the same excursions offered through the resort could be booked elsewhere on the island for much less. I understand businesses mark up services, but I wish I had been given clearer information to make informed decisions.
When I spoke with management, I was told the information was in the welcome packet. While that may be true, it conflicted with emails I had already received, and the most important details weren’t communicated when they mattered most.
clearer communication would have saved me time, money, and unnecessary stress.
