Great experience

The Pousada Vila do Sol has comfortable and well-kept accommodation, plus a cordial and attentive service from the staff, which make the stay very pleasant. As a point of improvement, the breakfast could be more varied, with more tasty and well-prepared options, plus more agile replacement, accompanying the good pattern of the other areas of the guesthouse. Overall, a great experience.

Room with a view

Our room had an excellent view. The hotel is built on a steep incline with allows great views from the pool, bar, restaurant and some rooms.
The room was fairly basic and would have benefited from some upgrades in the bathroom. Breakfast was good. Staff are friendly.

Excellent stay, excellent quality-price ratio.

Vila Do Sol.
Excellent location in the Joao Fernández area.
A couple of blocks from the center, and from Praia Azeda and Azedinha.
The inn is at a height that allows you to have a dream view when you are at the pool or in the bar area.
It is attended by its owner Alejandro, very attentive and available for whatever you need during your stay.
But we must also highlight the attention of all the staff present at the inn, all very friendly
Without a doubt, a place to recommend, and to return.

Bad experience

Bad experience. To begin with, to access the room and carry the luggage you have to access a very steep and uncomfortable ramp, then several stairs, not recommended for families with children and/or people without good physical condition, or who simply want good service. : They don't even offer you help. Secondly, I had the bad luck that they gave me another room than the one I requested and paid in advance and there was no other option. The breakfast is very basic, according to the attention. The wifi was unstable, slow and only works in certain common places, in the room we had it did not work. If you want entertainment through this means it is almost impossible.
The only redeeming feature is the views of J Fernández beach and the small pool.
For these reasons, I decided to anticipate my departure and went to another inn, where I did find what I was looking for. They did not refund me anything, which was to be expected, according to the quality of service. It caught my attention to find only good comments and good ratings, very far from what my experience was. I would not recommend it nor would I ever return.

TO COME BACK

Excellent view of Joao Fernandes beach. Cleaning. Very good breakfast. Excellent chipa and cordiality in the attention of the staff. Special mention for Alejandro and Rodrigo who are spectacular. We still need to try the bar that will be left for next time.
