Rooms were dated but mostly clean. Hotel service was great. Staff even made us coffee for 6am when we were leaving, even though it generally isn’t served until 7. I liked being able to use the amenities in the other properties connected to the Charlton.

Not sure about the layout of the other rooms but the loft suite was poorly arranged, inefficient, and uncomfortable. The dresser is up in the loft but the tiny spiral staircase was too small to safely lug heavy suitcases up. This left the very small living area for the suitcases and place to unpack. The property, service, and amenities are great, just choose a different room if available.

The room was not well designed. The TV was at the side of the bed on a desk with a tall chair in front. You had to turn sideways to watch it, you couldn't use the desk or see in the mirror behind it. The tub filled with water as you showered and the bathroom fan didn't work, so everything became fogged. The elevator didn't work so we had to carry 2-50lb bags up and down a flight of stairs. Most importantly the coffee maker did not work the next morning. I feel like a fool getting sucked into paying $570 (all in taxes and fees) + $15 for parking for the value received. $200 would have been a stretch.

Really nice place for a home base while visiting Banff. I loved the loft room with it's little fireplace. The water pressure is amazing, and it's really quiet at night. There's a pool and a hot tub if you're into that, and it's easy walking distance to downtown. Adrian at the front desk was super helpful and pleasant. I would definitely stay again.

The room was clean and having a loft bedroom was different for a change. All of the staff that I encountered were very nice and helpful. I was disappointed that the pool was closed, as I was looking forward to using it. They did offer other pool options to use, but I did not want to walk that far to use the pool. The coupons for the Evergreen restaurant were nice and I did use them, the restaurant at the Caribou Hotel next door was good too for either breakfast or dinner. It was a bit overpriced, but then again everything in Banff is.
