Loved the location, lots of great restaurants and bars and is walking distance to BMO where we needed to go for a kids sport tournament. Outdoor pool is a plus!

Overall, we had a great stay and enjoyed the hotel, but there were some areas that could be improved. We understand the property is older and the rooms reflect that, but given the price point, I expected a more luxurious experience. Some room updates and better maintenance would go a long way in making the hotel feel more in line with its pricing. The cost of food and drinks also felt quite high for the overall experience.
The pool was another disappointment. It is very small and can become extremely crowded during the day with both hotel guests and drop-in visitors. We were glad we went at night when it was much quieter, giving us room to swim, relax, and enjoy drinks and snacks.
It was also sad to see the Yellow Door Bistro closing. The food was great, but unfortunately the service and attention to detail were lacking, especially on its final day. Service was slow, our coffee had coffee grounds in it, some cutlery wasn't clean, and there were dead bugs on the tables with flies buzzing around. For a restaurant's last day and our final opportunity to experience it, there was a surprising lack of care.
I hope the new space is utilized better and becomes a real highlight of the hotel. The property's artsy atmosphere has a lot of potential, and a well-designed new space could really complement that.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but I hope future renovations focus on upgrading the rooms, improving service, & creating a more luxurious experience that better matches the price.

Hotel Arts Understood the assignment!

My son just graduated from high school and was looking forward all year to a graduation trip with his friends that I promised him to commemorate their accomplishment. I really wanted to make his trip memorable and special for him. Hotel Arts ‘understood the assignment’ lol and went above and beyond upgrading his room, writing a hand written congratulations note, having homemade chocolates and fruit waiting and treating them all like kings. I can’t tell you how much I appreciated what they did for my son and how excited they were to join me in making them feel special and celebrated. Thank you Hotel Arts and your wonderful staff! You made the boys feel that the whole world is cheering for their success as they start their next chapter! Beautiful acts of kindness!

A good base in Calgary

Good property, used as a base for the first night of our trip to Canada.
Free covered and uncovered parking for guests, free Wi-Fi in the room and in common areas, comfortable and spacious room.
Located in the center, about 10 minutes from the Tower and in an area with numerous bars, pubs, and restaurants. Trendy environment, lively atmosphere, small pool that is always very crowded and popular, helpful and courteous staff. City taxes are to be paid on-site. Recommended.

It’s been a number of years since I stayed at Hotel Arts, but again the level of service was tops. My room was great, and I enjoyed the extras provided in the king suite.
