It is a large sprawling building with many different hallways, so a little tricky to find your room. Room was adequate and bed was comfortable.

ALBATROSS-Gander

With all the traveling and reviews that I have given on hotels, restaurants and resorts in third world countries, this hotel has been by far the dirtiest. Upon check in, we were given a room with dog hair all over the floor, beds not made,dirt and bugs on the floors and a real junk yard view when we opened the door to the parking area. When I confronted the girl on the front desk, she replied by saying " she has 2 girls for 60 rooms" to which I said I understand but has a manager checked these rooms after they have been cleaned. Her response was " the manager don't care, so why should I". I was in total shock! We were booked to stay 2 nights- 10 and 11th of August 2026. We refused to spend a dime in such a dirty place, with awful customer service. Please see attached pictures.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are deeply sorry that the room you were given was not properly cleaned or prepared for your arrival. The conditions you described and photographed are completely unacceptable and fall far below the standards we expect at Albatross Hotel.
We are equally concerned by the response you received when you raised the issue at the front desk. Regardless of staffing challenges, you should have been treated with professionalism and your concerns should have been taken seriously. The comment attributed to our team member does not reflect the level of care we expect from anyone representing our hotel.
We understand why you chose not to stay, and we sincerely apologize for the frustration and disappointment this caused. Your feedback has been shared with hotel management so the condition of the room, our inspection procedures and the interaction at the front desk can all be investigated and addressed.
We would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly. Please contact the hotel and ask for the General Manager so we can learn more about your experience and follow up with you personally.

Comfortable hotel with adjacent gas/food properties .

We stayed here two nights and found our room was clean and the beds were comfortable . There are a few restaurants and gas stations close by which is very convenient . Hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful . We would return .

The hotel was easy to find and when we arrived, the people at the front desk were very helpful. The room was a decent size and the bedding was comfortable. They had a restaurant downstairs for breakfast (I believe the price was around $11.95), but we opted for the Tim Horton's next door). No problems.

Mix review . My wife thought it was OK ,I thought otherwise . I wouldn't recommend it but I only saw 4 hotels in Gander and 3 were nothing to write home about . The location was good . Staff was good . It is what it is .
