Quaint cottage turned into a B&B

This B&B is in a former cottage in what was once a grand cottage area for the wealthy of Toronto and Buffalo. By the 1950's and 60's it became somewhat seedy and is now being reborn with wonderful colours used to decorate many of the gingerbread cottages left. The rooms are larger than one might expect with modern amenities in the bathrooms. Clean, colourful and featuring scenes of the former grandeur of the area. We found the bed a bit soft, and the stairs are narrow and steep - adding to the charm. The breakfast was healthy (yogurt and granola, warm banana bread, juice, tea or coffee and a very nice fruit plate. All in all good value for the money spent.
