This hotel is ideally situated for people wanting to walk around what’s on offer in the Nova Scotia. However, it is a little dated and it’s quite noisy in the rooms most of the rooms face onto the front of the street and starting very early in the morning. There is a lot of truck traffic as the containers are being offloaded at the docks very nearby.
I don’t think asking for another room would’ve made any difference as the majority of the rooms seem to face the same way,if not, they are very close to the side road, so the noise would only be marginally lower.
It might’ve been a nice touch to visitors if there was something in the rooms to let them know of sites worth seeing in the area, possibly some restaurants, cafés, or bars they may wish to visit.
It’s quite an expensive hotel for what you get in my opinion

The hotel is TIRED. Needs a Reno desperately. Not worth what they charge. Checkin is not convenient as there is no place to park. You have to pull into the parking garage as there is not even checkin temp parking. It is old old old.

The Staff were excellent, however the property is being run on a skeleton crew. Location is excellent, pet-friendly, parking is convenient. Value for money debatable.

Wonderful Place to spend our anniversary

Perfect location!! Hy husband and I were celebrating our 37th Anniversary and we really enjoyed our stay. We were upgraded as we are members and we received a free breakfast which we enjoyed very much. We had a very nice room with a king size bed. The room was very nice and clean.
There was a nice coffee machine, tea bags and also bottles of water in our room. Downstairs they offered coffee, tea, hot chocolate and cold drinking water. Refilling the coffee and hot water would be a good idea during the day. Not complaining.
You could buy snacks in the lobby if you really needed too.
The location of the hotel was perfect because you were in walking distance to basically everything. We spent every night down at the waterfront sitting on the Adirondack chairs that were everywhere.
We had a wonderful stay!!
