The motel was basic but charming e.g. benches were provided outside each room, and outdoor tables and chairs were provided in a pleasant patio where guests ate takeaway food.
There was an excellent restaurant nearby for breakfast and dinner.
Hope has a lively centre with cafes and shops and a beautiful park with tall, native conifers. There's also a park running along the wide river with spectacular views of the mountains,

I believe a suspect property should be well advised to update its pictures of rooms. Not as advertised.
Quite run down and lack of maintenance.
The room was clean. Staff was very nice.

It definitely needs a face lift the bathroom was gross . We found a vape between mattress and wall . Didn’t even sleep under the blankets . Good for a if your in dire need but that’s about it.

beware!!

They will change the price on you after telling you one price!! This is a run down hotel charging families displaced from their homes due to wildfires $400 a night. Took our card number/information over the phone "to secure room" but then increased price by $100/night when we went to check-in. My grandpa is dying of Glioblastoma (terminal brain cancer), had to evacuate Summerland home in middle of the night due to wildfires and this lady is price gouging during state of emergency. It is saddening to see people be treated like this during a time of need and when they already are dealing with possibly losing their homes and all their belongings. Please take your business to somewhere that supports Canadians in need.

Dishonest

Terrible service! Suddenly demanded 100$ more. The price had already been agreed upon.
