Perfect place for cyclists to stay over for a night.

Funky little hotel. Lovely owner who is very friendly and still working on parts of the place but room was cozy. Lounge area is great with kitchen, table chairs and reading area. We were biking the rail trail and this was the perfect spot to stay.

Comfort at Hotel Midway

We recently stayed at Hotel Midway and were excited to experience what the hotel and town had. Carissa and family have worked so hard in bringing this hotel back and it absolutely shows.
The room was comfortable, the communal dining space was so full of character and the outside patio and yard were massive for entertaining. We enjoyed sitting on the benches out front and watching the water, wildlife and community pass by.
We look forward to visiting again in the future and would definitely recommend this hotel to a group of friends or family trip to take in the full experience of the open space and the history of the area.

Historical Gem in the Boundary Country

Definitely recommend to anyone interested in BCs rich history of mining/railways/ghost towns, historical buildings and the like. Friendly, responsive host! Go now!! While it's still quiet and undiscovered. Check out Kettle Valley museum, nearby Greenwood and it's museum too! Worth a whole trip. It was the highlight of our BC Day long weekend. But be aware of the weather forecast! This area gets extremely hot

Hotel Midway - a hidden gem!

A hidden gem run by a gem! Carissa is a wonderful hostess. She is very passionate about bringing back the Hotel Midway to become a vibrant, fun, unique destination in Midway and in the Kettle Valley. The lazy and very warm Kettle River is right across the road, and you have to go for a float down the river while you are there. We enjoyed dinner at the nearby Keg and Kettle Grill (delicious) and breakfast at The Crossing (also delicious). Staff at both were very friendly and responsive. Access to the US is barely a kilometer away, making it the perfect "home base" for both the local area and the many destinations less than an hour south in the U.S. Highly recommended, and can't wait to go back!

Rustic Charm

It is so exciting to see this heritage hotel open up again and I can't wait until the pub and cafe are also open!! It has so much rustic charm and we loved the uniqueness of this place. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and reminiscent of another time period. Our stay was so peaceful, we saw deer in the backyard, and enjoyed walking around the local area. The owner was super friendly, and gave many suggestions for fun outings and activities. We enjoyed the local museum, restaurant, BC stops of interest, and had amazing ice cream at the gas station. We had a family float on tubes on the Kettle River right beside the hotel, which was really fun. Next time, we will bring our mountain bikes because there are so many local trails (KVR); and there is a locked bike storage room at the Hotel for this purpose! I would highly recommend the Hotel Midway if you crave something a little outside the box!
