Change the staff because they are horrifically annoying and do not know how to attend to customers.
The hotel looks very nice both outside and inside, it appears clean, the receptionists are horrifically annoying, the daytime one greeted with a lucky face, and at night the most unpleasant of all, Mrs. Isidora, is horrible, unpleasant, arrogant, has a terrible attitude, and is rude when responding; they are there to serve the customer, not to scare them away. A gentleman, I believe he is the night clerk, Mr. Sergio, is very kind and polite, and the cleaning lady is also very gentle. The room is normal, it has a minibar, a small TV with most channels in English, the bed was comfortable, the pillows were quite bad, we had to ask for two more, the toilet had a problem with the water tank, you had to remove the lid to flush it. The breakfast was good and varied, the waiters, about two of them, were friendlier, and the head chef, Marisel, was a nightmare, very annoying. I asked to take breakfast to a sick person, and she gave me a huge rosary, and in the end, I was only allowed to take tea and bread, and the few times I saw her, she was chatting and eating....
The restaurant was good, they serve until 11 PM, and you can order room service.
At night, you stand at the hotel door, and you will see a parade of mice. I mentioned it to the waiter, and he said, 'Oh yes, that's super normal.'

An excellent option in Concepción!!
A good alternative in Concepción; it is a simple hotel, but with a good variety of items for breakfast and clean, comfortable rooms.
Perfect for a weekend trip or a long weekend.
The parking lot is small, so you definitely need to arrive early. Additionally, it is centrally located, allowing you to walk to all the important places: plaza, cathedral, and university neighborhood, including the University of Concepción.
The reception staff are all very pleasant.
In the case of the restaurant, it would be appreciated if, although there is lactose-free milk, it could be heated in a microwave for those who have difficulty with milk protein.
And the salads are world-class; I highly recommend them, especially the Caesar and Mediterranean salads.

Dirty, no air conditioner, too noisy second floor, horrible steet view. Of course is ok if you need to save money.

GOLDEN HOTEL, PEMISO.
Dismal customer service, maltreatment and service deficiencies
To the Management of the Hotel El Dorado Concepción:
I hereby complain against the receptionist Rocio Guevara, for her unacceptable behavior, lack of professional ethics and high-mindedness during our stay started on February 7, 2026.
Detail of the facts:
Disrespectful treatment and lack of solutions: At the time of our arrival, Ms. Guevara behaved hostilely and arrogantly. Faced with our delay due to force majeure (multiple accidents and extreme congestion on the Santiago-Concepción route), his response was to criticize in a high way that "we had not called", ignoring that the reservation was already fully paid. We should have checked into the hotel on February 6, 2026.
Questioning the sales channel: The receptionist impertinently questioned why we did not book directly with the hotel, detesting the use of the Hotels.com platform. It is unacceptable for a staff member to harass the customer for using official sales channels that the hotel itself makes available for commercial offer.
Room assignment in retaliation: Eventually we were given a room, but a clear attitude of revenge was perceived. We were assigned a room in deplorable conditions: small in size, without air conditioning, with unbearable noise pollution from the reception and with a constant flow of water (noise from plumbing/filtration) that prevented rest.
Shortcomings in Parking: In addition to the above, the parking service lacks all management. No one guides on the correct flow or location, causing blockages that prevented our departure, evidencing that the hotel has no capacity to respond to its full occupancy.
