Nature, cozy and clean
The hut was amazing. Good rooms and good space. Always warm, clean and with varanda. They had a barbeque place and a garage with ceiling. The kitchen and material were also very nice. The pool was frozen but we enjoyed everyday the jacuzzi that needs to be paid apart. The lovely dogs were always playing around. A lot of nature on the neighborhood. The restaurant was fantastic to have dinner and the staff was incredible, specially Dani. Jaun who is the other owner prepared the food and from the restaurant it can be seen. Awesome (local) food. Near the ski station. The breakfast is also very good. Simple, but with a lot of options.

Just what we were looking for
We booked Los Hualles #2 cabin, we were 4 couples, and everything we needed. The cabin was very cozy, with the right heat, perfect setting and nice decoration (wood).
The place itself is really amazing, surrounded by snow, the cordillera and a peaceful silence. The first night we arrived, I couldn't stop staring at the sky...it was full of stars, just magic and beautiful.
The cabin is only 7km from the ski center of Chillan, so if you plan to go there, don't think twice, this is the place for you and your gang to be at.
For our surprise, the breakfast was included and it was delicious and healthy. They have their own restaurant in case you don't bring your own food. I ordered a basic soup and it was yammy!
Did I mentioned they have a hot tub? After a long day of skiing, is the perfect way of wrapping your day up.

A wonderful last minute choice
A late change in our travel plans saw us with some accommodation gaps to fill. After some brief enquiries we were directed to Las Cabras as they had availability for our 4 nights. On a somewhat daunting bumpy dirt road (as are all the roads in this area) in the dark and cold, we were greeted by Daniela. Her English was as good as our Spanish but we managed to communicate our needs first via telephone and email the day before and then in person on arrival. The Cabana was very welcoming and cosy with the fire burning. It was very comfortable and homely and serviced each day. We had some laundry done and returned the same day for a reasonable rate. Wifi is quite good in the cabanas or in the meals, open fire lounge area.
For self catering, I would recommend getting supplies in Chillan or similar size town as there is not much in the way of groceries in Las Trancas. Breakfast was simple but pleasant and we only had dinner on our last evening which even though it was prepared somewhat from the freezer it was very impressive as we only gave them short notice. Martinez cooked up our meals similar to that you would find in a reputable restaurant. Our departure to Santiago meant a 7.00am pick up on the bus which Daniela was more than happy to take us and also waited with us till the bus arrived. I highly recommend this accommodation and having a vehicle would be a plus. Next time we will make use of the Jacuzzi and Sauna.
For our first trip to Chile and an unexpected stay up in the snow region, we were very happy!

MALA RECEPCIÓN
Viajeros!! Les comento mi experiencia, al llegar al lugar de las cabañas no veo ningún tipo de letrero o indicación de entrada al recinto , ingreso por un portón que se encontraba abierto (sin candados) y unos huéspedes me indican que debo dirigirme un poco mas abajo para realizar mi check in, al ir al lugar para realizar mi check in, aparece un caballero de nacionalidad argentino con una prepotencia muy extrema gritándome por donde había ingresado que ese no era el lugar de ingreso, yo respondo que no tiene indicación el lugar y que ingrese por ese portón Abierto porque reconocí la cabaña que íbamos a hospedar, el tipo gritándome me dice como que no hay letrero seguro seguro!!! ??? vamos haber! Mira mira ! Quien está mal? Muy prepotente el tipo yo y mi señora le dijimos al tipo oye cálmate no tienes letreros para una buena orientación no es forma de darnos esta bienvenida, yo me quise ir del lugar pero como teníamos una reserva pagada teníamos q quedarnos, fue un momento muy desagradable porque uno va a relajarse a pasarla bien a disfrutar, hicimos el ingreso le pregunté si la piscina esta habilitada me dice que si, llegamos. A la piscina y sus sistemas de bombas no estaba funcionando esta estaba muy sucia, como recomendación hay muchos lugares donde pueden hospedarse y no pasar un mal rato como nos toco,

Desagradable la persona de recepción (hombre)
Al ingresar waze nos indicó que ya estábamos en la ubicación, la calle desolada así q Justo nos dio un portón, le dije a mi esposo q abriera ya q tenía un cerrojo pero sin seguro, ingresamos y no había absolutamente nadie, llame al número q aparecía en el correo electrónico y contesto una señorita, le conté la situación y me dijo no tengo idea dónde estás, yo estoy en recepción, y le pedí si me enviaba la dirección por WhatsApp, me dijo ok agrégame y háblame, me la envío y nos indicaba la misma ubicación, seguíamos desorientados, posterior a ello llegaron unos huéspedes y nos dieron indicaciones, llegamos y salió una persona (hombre) con un aspecto molesto indicando q con prepotencia a mi esposo q porque no vio el letrero, él le dijo q no hay indicación y por eso ingresamos, el señor le dijo 3 veces seguro q no lo viste, seguro? Seguro? Quien está mal? Vamos a verlo!!! Su actitud era desafiante y altanera, desconozco si sus formas son así, él era argentino, nos acercamos a registrarnos y seguía insistiendo q porque no vimos el letrero, y si claro había un letrero a varios Metros y lo vi, pero ahí mismo habían muchos letreros como publicitando todo lo q encontraría en esa calle, el caballero seguía con esa actitud le dije ok pero no se moleste me dijo q no estaba molesto, y le dije ok podemos terminar? Mi esposo quería irse pero ya habíamos abonado, la verdad el registro fue tenso, incómodo, quedamos con una mala sensación y veníamos de pasar momentos súper gratos, espero q el sr no diga q es una falta a la verdad, porque ya veo q en varios comentarios responde del mismo modo, sr le recomiendo si lee esto, q mejore su tino, y q sea mas empatico, uno no conoce, primera vez q va, y lo q menos queremos al ir a vacacionar es tener un altercado con un desconocido y menos en el lugar q nos vamos a alojar, saludos
