Breathtaking stay in Split
Spectacular location, great facilities and a very comfy room. Our host Tatiana was fantastic. The fact it was located inside the Diocletian Palace made our holiday experience out of this world! Would recommend Riva to anyone going to Split, the views to the harbour are fantastic. Definitely on my list if I ever get back to Split.

Very central location for this spacious apartment
Very good location for this nicely kitted out 1 bedroom apartment. It's located within the walls of the Diocletian's Palace in the heart of the Old city. It's light & airy with nice high ceilings (sometimes these sorts of apartments can be dark inside). The beds & pillows are very comfortable which is also important. The only drawback is the noise if you want to open the windows, as the apartment overlooks the main Riva promenade. There are several restaurants situated immediately outside the windows which play music over loudspeakers. It's not really possible to sleep in the bedroom with the windows open due to the noise /location. However this isn't a problem if you're happy to sleep with the AC on which we did.

Unreasonable issue of a credit voucher with a 2021 expiry
We have stayed in the Riva Apartments previously and loved it and booked the apartment again for a trip this August. COVID had other plans making international travel from Australia impossible. Max who manages the apartments refused to refund our deposit and only offered a voucher that needs to be used by 2021. He knows full well that international travel will be very restricted in 2021 and many travellers unprepared to travel without a reliable vaccine. Riva apartments are just money hungry. I’ll book a place on Bookings.com next time where I know I can get my deposit refunded. Buyer beware !

Best view in Split
The Prisca Apartment 1 is well located on the Riva, and within the Diocletian Palace. Easy walk to port for ferry access.
The apartment is as good as shown in the pictures. Having a washing machine, iron and ironing board was welcome after a few weeks of travel.
The apartment is spacious and has Netflix available. Double glazed windows cut out the street noise, however there are a few clubs opposite on the port side that play music till about 1am. If you are noise sensitive like me take ear plugs and it will be ok.
There are two options to get to the apartment. The quick way involves going through the very busy basement area of the palace and then climbing some very steep stairs. Ask to be taken the long way and you only have to walk up a few low steps.Ivana had sent photo instructions on how to find their office, but we were grateful that she met us at the taxi to show us the way .

Clean and spacious apartment with great view.
Location: Right in the center of everything. Short walk to restaurants, stores and right in front of Riva.
Check in: We took the shuttle bus from the airport to the port. Once at the port, I walked towards Riva. I did not know how to get to the apartment so I called Jelena who indicated a place to meet up by the entrance of the cellars Riva side next to a store. We waited there for about 2 minutes and Jelena met us there. She took us to Valeria apartment. There are no stairs to get into the apartment but while walking towards it you have a few steps. In a few minutes we arrived at the apartment.
Jelena, showed us the apartment and then asked one of us to meet at the office to complete paperwork. The office is about 15 steps away from the apartment. She pointed out in a map restaurants and grocery stores.
Valeria apartment: Clean, spacious, ground floor. One bedroom, bathroom inside the bedroom. Kitchen with full size refrigerator and a sofa. Window overlooking Riva.
Washing machine with detergent included. The TV was not working. I brought it to management's attention the next morning. The lady apologized she said that there was something wrong with the satellite. TV was not repaired during our 4 night stay.
The bedroom had a window to the street. You could hear the noise from people passing by. It is not main street but still late at night or early in the morning you could hear people talking and working. We were woken up early in the morning by workers sweeping and power washing the street.
The bedroom had a closet with plenty of storage, safe, iron and ironing board, comfortable bed.
Bathroom: shampoo, conditioner, body wash and towels provided. First aid kit also available. No problem with water pressure or heater.
Staff: I interacted with 2 ladies Jelena and I do not remember the name of the other lady. Both were nice, helpful and polite.
Check out: We left around 7a.m. to catch the ferry to Dubrovnik. about a 10 minute walk to the port. We were told to leave the keys on the kitchen table.
Tip: Ask the staff showing you the apartment how to use the TV, stove and washing machine.
I will definitely return to Valeria.
