Better and nicer it won't be
I have been to St. Thomas Hotel a couple of times and it gets better and better. As soon as you enter the door, you feel at home. The atmosphere is calm and friendly. The rooms are newly renovated in beautiful design and the beds are good. You should not fool yourself for breakfast, which is really delicious, versatile and constantly being filled up, so you can sit for a long time and maybe read the newspaper of the day while enjoying your morning coffee or tea.
On sunny days you can enjoy the rooftop terrace, which, like the rest of the hotel, is tastefully and cozyly decorated. There is an elevator, but take the stairs down and experience the decoration with the historic pictures from the area. All staff, ranging from kitchen, cleaning to reception are smiling and helpful.

Excellent hotel
An excellent hotel in a quiet location but convenient to restaurants, bars, and cafes. Staff are exceedingly friendly, rooms well appointed, and the buffet breakfast has a wide selection of choices. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Copenhagen.

Charming hotel in a great location – but small room and bathroom
I had a pleasant stay at Sct. Thomas Hotel. The hotel is located in a lovely area of Frederiksberg, with the metro just a short walk away, making it very easy to get around Copenhagen.
The building itself is beautiful, and I really liked the combination of the historic architecture and modern interior. The high ceilings, decorative mouldings, beautiful staircase and classic details give the hotel a lot of character. My room was also nicely decorated and had a comfortable bed and a lovely atmosphere.
The staff were friendly and welcoming. I arrived quite late in the evening, and the person who checked me in was very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was also good, and I appreciated that the breakfast area was calm and not at all crowded during my stay.
There were, however, a few downsides. I stayed in room 119, a double room, which was quite small. The bathroom in particular was extremely compact – when sitting on the toilet, your leg touched the sink. The bathroom also felt somewhat dated, with worn-looking tiles and rather poor lighting. There was only a shower curtain, although I understand why a glass door would be difficult to install given the limited space.
Unfortunately, my room also faced a tall brick wall only a few metres from the window, so there was virtually no view or sense of openness.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay, especially because of the location, the character of the building and the pleasant atmosphere. I would happily stay here again, but I would probably ask about the room location and bathroom size when booking.

Not suitable for family with kids/baby
The rooms are quite small and rather minimally equipped (no fridge, kettle, coffee machine). We absolutely don't recommend it for anyone with a baby: there is no cot, no high chair and strollers are basically not allowed, meaning that upon every entry and exit you have to fold and carry the stroller through the hotel! (Try to do that with the baby in your arms and a bag and the stroller?!)
The staff was ok, but not very customer experience oriented.
The elevator goes up to the rooms but not down to the breakfast hall or luggage storage. And there are some stairs from the entrance to the elevator as well.
The toilet had an unpleasant smell.
We really liked the location - central but quiet.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that some aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations.
We would, however, like to clarify a few points regarding your booking and the facilities mentioned in your review.
When you booked directly with the hotel, you were informed that we do not provide baby cots. We recommended that you book a larger family room, especially as you were travelling with two adults and two children, but you declined this option. You specifically asked whether it would be possible to stay in one room with a double bed, with the 3-year-old sleeping with your sister and her husband and the baby staying with you and your husband, so that you would not need an additional family room. We agreed to make an exception and accepted the booking based on your confirmation that this arrangement was acceptable to you.
Regarding the stroller, as explained at the hotel, strollers are not permitted inside the hotel. Our building is an historic property, and unfortunately this means there are some stairs from the entrance to reception and additional stairs between the elevator and certain areas of the hotel, including the breakfast and luggage-storage areas. We understand that this can be inconvenient when travelling with a baby.
During your stay, our team did its best to assist with your requests, including providing extra blankets. If you had requested a refrigerator, we could also have arrange one for you.
A kettle or coffee machine is not listed as a standard room facility on any of our booking pages. We do, however, provide hot water free of charge at reception for our guests.
We are also sorry to hear about the unpleasant smell in the bathroom. Unfortunately, this was not reported to our staff during your stay, so we did not have the opportunity to investigate or resolve the issue. Had we been informed at the time, we would certainly have done our best to address it.
We are pleased that you enjoyed our central yet quiet location. We always appreciate feedback, but we also believe it is important to provide the full context regarding the arrangements and facilities that were communicated before and during your stay.

I had a single bed room that was very small but functional. The bed was comfortable and the breakfasts were very good. The location is great and the rooftop patio spacious and lovely.
