Beautiful place to stay

A huge thank you to Aurea at Casa do Ouro. My mother and I stayed July 2 and 3 and were very impressed with everything. Aurea was very nice and helpful. I don't speak Spanish and she was very patient with me. We communicated using our computer translator and got on quite well. Although only breakfast is served, Aurea made us up a small tapas and bottle of wine to have the first evening we arrived so we didn't have to go out. The facilities were lovely, the breakfasts were wonderful (thank you Concetta) and Paco was extremely helpful. The facility has many places to sit and relax, both inside and out and it is a short drive to many coves and beaches. The rooms were beautifully decorated. The entire place made you feel you were staying at a family country estate. Truely a fantastic place to stay! Thank you.

Nice house but I do not recommend it

The house is very beautiful and is located in a very quiet area, which allows you to rest and enjoy the surroundings.
However, our experience was not one to repeat. Upon arrival, the owner informed us that there was no breakfast because she hasn't had a service person for 15 days, something that had not been communicated to us previously. The parking is very inconvenient and the cleanliness of the room leaves much to be desired.
In general, the house and the location are pleasant, but I do not recommend it.

The lady has stayed on her face with 114€ from the room plus 19€ that I admitted to her for breakfast.

Well, it was impossible to enjoy the stay since on the day of the reservation we were advised not to travel because we were surrounded by fires, with roads and highways cut off, etc., I contacted the owner and she said that well, that she understood and that in upcoming dates that there was availability, she could make a hole, I called her again and she told me that at Easter in no way count on going, I told her that I understood and that it would be in the week or weeks that they would suit her... today I called her again and summarizing she has told me to forget about the subject and that if I lose that money, she has also lost many things throughout her life coming to say that if it bothers me, that I endure.
In short, a lady with a very enveloping but very scarcely believable dialectic, unpleasant and rude, after reading everything I have read about her, I reaffirm what I say and fall short

Disappointing!

Nice house. BUT there are three big reserves. 1: no breakfast offered. It is therefore necessary to go to a bakery located 18 minutes walk (practical in one is a family with very different rising times). The Owner says it was accidental but previous reviews tell us the situation has been going on for several weeks. We wish we had been warned! 2: little effort to compensate for this embarrassment (except for a lent kettle); we are formally forbidden to eat in the Inn even though there is a garden where it might be possible, we are not loaned a fridge ... 3: the immediate environment is very built. There are nice beaches but you have to take the car for a while.

Frío y hostil

Casa rural con mal acceso para los coches. Calles muy estrechas. Portón de entrada para coches manual. Has de bajar y abrir tu la verja de hierro. Súper incómodo. No sé te ocurra pisar el césped con las ruedas, la dueña te puede arañar. Habitaciones frías, nada acogedoras, no hay una televisión en toda la casa, ni en las habitaciones ni en el salón. El agua caliente de la ducha tarda mucho en salir. Potes de cristal en la ducha para el jabón súper incómodos con el riesgo de que se te caigan y se rompan. No hay videt. No hay alfombrilla en el suelo de la ducha.
No se puede comer ni dentro ni fuera de la habitación. No hay donde tomar un refresco ni un tentempié. Nada. No volvería. Hay sitios muchísimo mejores donde hospedarse con dueños menos extrictos y prepotentes.
