Charming inn

We were passing through and slept one night at the Inn of Toribia. The best breakfast and pleasant conversation with the owners (lovely). They gave us a lot of information about the environment and the area, we will come back safe.. The cleaning of the Inn of 10.

Excellent stopover

The property is excellent and there was a garage for our motorcycles. Breakfast was the most basic we had during our trip.
We booked direct with the owners and we were told there would be somewhere to eat locally (their restaurant is closed on a Monday). Whether it was a breakdown in communication on our previous correspondence I don't know, but we were unable to get anything to eat locally and our bikes had been locked away in the garage so we couldn't drive to the next town. Also we had been drinking! Luckily, in our desperate search for food we came across the Bar Jose, which supplied tapas and beers all evening.

Created with loving care

Very convenient to Astorga. Easy parking on a nearby street. We really enjoyed the room and the owners. We only stayed one night, but would have been comfortable staying longer. Everything in the room was simple but carefully and well arranged. Nice beds and nice bathroom. The owners don't speak much English so they were happy to chat in Spanish despite my well-below-fluent level. We received wonderful advice on a driving route to Pontferrada via an old trading road and then a road that crisscrosses the casino de Santiago. The breakfast of juice, coffee and toast, because we prefer cereal or eggs and fruit, was fine but not great. I do think the owners need to develop some indoor area where guests are welcome to eat a snack. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.

Very rural town

We stayed there in September 2014 for one night when driving from northern Spain to Salamanca.
It is located about 6-7 km from Astorga .This little village is very inactive . We walked in the streets in the evening and we hardly saw any lights in the houses .The place we stayed was very clean ,the room was of the good size . The owner does not let you to have any drink or snack in the room . If you want to drink you have to be outside on the porch.The breakfast tasteful but very limited ( bread with jam)

PERFECTO Y ENTRAÑABLE

Maria Jesús y Kiko (para otros Perico), son dos personas encantadoras y excepcionales, que llevan la posada haciéndote sentir como en casa. Nos acompañaron en los desayunos y nos ayudaros a planificar los dias. El desayuno muy rico con productos de su obrador (magdalenas, rosquillas, roscón), pan de pueblo torradito, con aceite y/o tomate o mermeladas caseras (la de frambuesa la mejor), zumo natural recien exprimido, cafe con leche. Cama muy comoda, ambiente tranquilo y silencioso, temperatura agradable en la habitación que permitió descansar. Desde la terraza/jardin existe un acceso exclusivo para clientes, a restaurante EL MESON MARAGATO, dirigido por Jorge y donde cenamos varios dias muy bien Hemos dicho que volveremos en mes de Octubre, para la romería del pueblo de Luyego. Gracias por vuestra atención Kiko y Maria Jesús.
