Budget hotel, clean and with everything you need to be comfortable.Air conditioning, refrigerator and a large shower.It has a great restaurant.

Stay at El Tabanco

We stayed at El Tabanco for 5 nights in early September 2019. We enjoyed our stay which was amazing value and included a double en suite room, secure garaging for our car and a delicious breakfast. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the restaurant in the evening was of a high standard. It was easy to find in El Bosque which was a good base for walking and travelling to Grazalema National Park.
Highly recommended.

A spoiled holiday experience

Astonished to see so many 5-star reviews. OK, the hotel was pleasantly rural, the petals and swan on the bed were nice touches. The restaurant evening meal was superb. The total absence of any staff in the morning until 9.00 a.m, the lack of 'contact in an emergency' notices, the total lack of check-in or registration,( i could have died in the night and nobody would have known) the inability to get a coffee on waking, all pleasantly 'funky'. The racket made by the plumbing or heating system under our room sounding like a hammer drill ALL NIGHT resulted in no sleep whatsoever. And the lack of any way to contact management to get it stopped. All totally unacceptable. This was going to be the quaint highlight of our tour round the area. As it was, it was a total nightmare...... that's if you can have a nightmare while you're wide awake. Have taken this up with the booking company. Fortunately as nobody was there when we left (unfed, unwatered, unwashed, wife in tears) there was nobody to demand money from us so let's hope that lessons are learned They have been on this side......

Rustic and funky hotel

This is a rustic and slightly funky hotel that offers modest rooms and a pleasant stay. Everything seems very clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room wasn't anything fancy but it works just fine as a place to sleep after hiking/cycling.
Our room was kind of dark and one window looked out over the central dining courtyard so restaurant noise and some cigarette smoke wafted up. With the window closed and the shutter drawn it wasn't too bad, but it made the room darker.
When you first walk into your room you'll be greeted with rose petals and towel swan "art" on your bed (I guess everyone gets this). Our hotel room also had several odd wooden things on the walls. We stared at one for a few moments, wondering what it could be. I rotated the central wooden component and the overhead lights came on. Funky!
The hotel staff were very helpful.

Sad room with wives to an yard with a lot of noise

My room had a window facing the yard where all the noise from large groups of dining people. So from 1 to 4 and 8 to 12PM even with the window closed it was impossible to concentrate on doing anything.
