Clean, welcoming, lovely!
Tricky to drive to, we couldn’t get down the street to get to the parking so opted for the public parking. Once we arrived there was about a 5-10 minute wait for someone to greet us at reception, but when the receptionist arrived she was super helpful and very friendly.
The hotel was very clean, smelt lovely. The rooms were beautiful, spacious and very comfortable. We had two family rooms. One had a big bath, the other just had a shower. Both had toiletries and were luxurious.
We had a little balcony too! Very sweet!
Breakfast was varied and tasty.
We only stayed one night - great stop off if you’re needing to sail from Bilbao!
But we would love to return, the city looks fantastic!

Clean, modern hotel in the heart of the city
Clean, modern hotel in an excellent, central location, walkable to all the nearby attractions (don’t miss Calle Laurel). Note the AC control in the room is purely decorative and you must call the front desk to turn the air on/change the temperature, which was mildly frustrating in 100 degree weather. Also missed having tea/coffee in the room. Overall loved the city and loved the stay.

Fantastic hotel, very clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful. Its really central to the main plaza. Parking is provided at €20 per night however this is an under ground carpark and tricky to manoeuvre - very tight. Breakfast was really fresh and tasty

Very Disappointing Experience Not Reflective of a Four Star Hotel
Sercotel Calle Mayor presents itself as a four star hotel offering a warm, welcoming atmosphere, modern comforts and a varied and generous breakfast buffet. Unfortunately, our experience did not reflect these claims.
The breakfast buffet fell far below the standard expected of a four star property. The hot food selection was minimal and the heat lamps had not been switched on, leaving food prepared earlier that morning at room temperature and completely cold. The coffee machine was out of milk and expelled hot steamed milk uncontrollably when used.
Unable to locate the breakfast manager, we approached the front desk. Despite language barriers, we clearly explained the situation and requested a refund. The receptionist confirmed she would speak to the breakfast manager.
What followed was entirely unacceptable. The breakfast manager responded with defensiveness and raised his voice toward both ourselves and the receptionist. He used his height and physical presence in a way that felt intimidating and demeaning. Regardless of intention, communication and body language matter, and his behaviour demonstrated a lack of control and a refusal to take responsibility. Instead of acknowledging the clear oversight with the breakfast service, he attempted to deny and deflect. He continued speaking loudly in Spanish, fully aware we could not understand, before walking away without offering any explanation or resolution.
The receptionist offered to warm the food in the microwave, but after witnessing the breakfast manager’s unacceptable behaviour outburst we did not feel comfortable accepting this. No refund was provided and we ultimately lost the money paid for a breakfast that was not fit for purpose.
This experience was not aligned with the hotel’s advertised attentive service or welcoming atmosphere. A thorough review of staff training, particularly in accountability, guest communication and professional conduct, is urgently needed. There are several other hotels in Logroño that provide a far more reliable and respectful experience, and I would recommend choosing one of those instead. I will also be contacting the Sercotel chain directly to raise this matter further.
