Excellent Hotel ✨️ 10/10
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our favourite hotel in Madrid
We absolutely love the Exe Moncloa. We’ve stayed here twice now, and whenever we’re travelling to Madrid, it’s always one of the first hotels we try to book. We’ve visited Madrid several times over the past year, and unfortunately the hotel hasn’t always been available, but whenever we can get it, this is where we want to stay.
The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and always spotlessly clean. Everything looks fresh and almost brand new every time we visit. The large curtains are brilliant as well, as you can completely black out the room when you want to sleep. We honestly couldn’t ask for a nicer or more comfortable room, a very peaceful and very quiet. We heard virtually no noise, which made for a great night’s sleep.
The staff are exceptional. Everyone we’ve dealt with has been super friendly, welcoming and helpful, and they really add to the experience.
The location is another massive plus. You’re right in the heart of Moncloa, with the Metro literally across the road and loads of shops, cafés and restaurants nearby. Getting around Madrid from here couldn’t be easier.
This time I finally got to enjoy the rooftop bar, which was absolutely fantastic. My wife loved every moment of the stay as well.
Being Irish, we somehow even managed to bring the weather with us! We travelled to Madrid looking for Spanish sunshine and ended up getting rain on our first night. Typical Irish luck! ☔
If I had to find one small criticism, it would probably be the breakfast. The hot-food selection is quite limited compared with what we’re used to in Ireland. We do love our sausages, rashers, pudding and a good hearty breakfast! But that could simply be a cultural difference and certainly wouldn’t stop us returning.
Beautiful rooms, spotless throughout, fantastic staff, brilliant location, great value for money and a wonderful atmosphere.
10/10 from both of us. If I could give Exe Moncloa 100/100, I would. We’ll definitely be back! ❤️

Perfect location and a very good hotel.
I was at this hotel on a Saturday in August, very well located next to the Moncloa Interchange. You have parking available, which is appreciated.
Very complete breakfast and they restock every little while.
The best part is the comfort of the bed and the hotel terrace on the penthouse, with a small pool, ideal for sunbathing in the summer. Starting at 7:30 PM it is in summer terrace mode for you to have a drink with privileged views of Madrid.

Meeting point after a city tour at the rooftop bar with a beautiful view and sunset
We chose this hotel because it was only about 20 minutes to the airport. The metro is right across the street, and it is about 1.6 km to the center, which is easily walkable and also convenient for taxis, Uber, or Bolt.
The reception was nice, and the check-in and check-out were quick.
The reception was very helpful.
The room was okay for a few days, but I would have liked a bit more space for my clothes so that I could take them out of the suitcase.
Next time, definitely take a room on the back side; it was very loud with laughter and ambulances constantly passing by.
Breakfast had a wide selection and was always clean.

Excellent hotel in most respects… however, the hotel is in an area frequented by Madrid’s uni students…so lots of bars everywhere… but drinking and partying spill out on to the streets and continue until 5.00 or 6.00 in the morning… so not ideal for those trying to sleep prior to work! Windows are reasonably sound proof, but then there is no fresh air!

Pricey and bad hotel in Madrid
Very bad! Could not sleep. You hear everything. The sound from the street, but also between different rooms. I only had one door to the next room.
Breakfast very bad, I am lactose intolerant, there was almost nothing to eat. The hotel does not follow the EU recommendation to write content on different dishes.
