Great place to stay

Clean room, handy location for Metro, hot shower with very good water pressure, comfy bed, balcony view onto street, good value. Great comms via WhatsApp.
The means of getting in to the Hostal was a bit unusual but it works fine. I arrived late due to flight delays but there was no problem getting in.
I was going to come back in a few days but it is fully booked!

CAREFUL!! They leave you lying!!

We made a reservation a month ago, last night they sent me a message saying that the hotel is under maintenance and canceled my reservation, with two days to arrive. I call the hotel and they tell me that I have no reservation and that neither is the hotel under maintenance (payment was made at the instant of the reservation). Analyzing it a little I see that all they wanted to do is earn more money, I got it for 74€ when I booked it in advance and now, today I get that I can book again for 130€. Just a real shame. Moreover, they got out of the way and gave me no further answers on the subject.

Awful.

I didn't actually get to go, although I did pay two nights, 198 €. I made the reservation through Booking. The day before 10pm I was called from the hostel to tell me that I had to register online, send them a picture of my ID and a picture of me and another set of instructions that I didn’t like, as well as get into a whatsapp group with 12 other people. It says check-in is at 3:00, what I didn't know until that moment is that I couldn't leave the bag before. Through the phone and several whatsapps I expressed my dissatisfaction and they asked me to cancel the reservation, I told them no , because I was penalized and they did not return my money, to which they told me that they would not charge me, that they would rather not charge me than put bad reviews. So I canceled it, but I DID GET CHARGED, and they have not responded to the claims either directly or through Booking, so now I am with the hassle of having put an official claim.

Lots of noise from the street

Good value for money; The rooms are sufficiently spacious and comfortable. The location, in Plaza Santa Bárbara, is central, with many bars and restaurants nearby. The negative part, the deafening noise in the street all day.

Very central and at a good price

I stayed last month and my experience was good. It is a clean place, very well located and with pleasant staff.
The only thing I didn't like very much is the decoration a little but it's not bad because I like a different style.
