A convenient base to see the rest of central Madrid from. The accessible room was large enough and quieter being away from the rooms on the same floor. The view is just of the building. The bathroom is a large wet room, maybe could do with an extra handrail in the shower and tiles get a jet wash, but functional. Air conditioning was working and adjustable. There is a small step to get into the building, but whoever was on reception was quick to offer help and everyone was very hospitable throughout my stay. The area around Opera is flat with lots shops and bars/restaurants to easily access.

Great location!!! Great hotel. Rooms are small but all new and great bathroom. The check in process is very hard to do online and takes long time o finish. This is the only negative about the hotel

To be avoided

The room is small, poor in detail.
Bathroom is bad with outside sink and side shower in an iron structure
All inside an iron cabinet worthy of a prison cell more than a hotel.
Bathroom without windows or ventilation.
Washbasin mirror light not connected and therefore not working.
Window on an interior wall and dirty balcony, full of bird dung.
There is not even an armchair in the reception.
Check in you have to do it yourself on their website upon arrival. You save the receptionist his job, who treats you nicely.

A DUMP

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I would not keep a dog in it. The rooms are small and look into a courtyard filled with airco units making an horrendous noise yet the hotel itself has no airco. The toilet did not flush. The shower did not work. There was orange and black mould growing in the shower. There were no toiletries, no fridge, no drawers, no kettle. The room was tiny. The lobby was an embarrassment. The breakfast buffet insubstantial. It is at best a one star hotel. Do NOT stay here. It is a RIP OFF.

Location is great, but other than that, not much to say..I had booked a single room, but the window was permanently shut and the room was like a closet with no air. Person at the reception, not the friendliest, said none of the single rooms have a window that opens but for 15 € more I can have a Room with an opening window. As air is essential (!) to me, I upgraded and indeed slept well with cool air coming in. Rooms are basic, not even a chair or bedside table. The Aircon, not sure how effective it would be in the summer. Convenient place to sleep as long as you are not expecting much
