A little gem

This little hotel was a real gem of a find. Rooms are small and basic but have everything you would need for a short stay. The little touches elevate it from being just another city hotel to somewhere you’d like to return. Friendly and helpful reception team, refillable water stations on every floor and well designed spaces. There’s secure underground parking with direct access to the hotel which was a big plus for us but the jewel in this hotels crown is the roof top where you can enjoy a drink from the well stocked bar and the best view in town of the castle - especially beautiful at night .

Downgrading of guests. Disappointing.

Arriving at 2:15 PM on Thursday, July 30 for 3 nights, the scheduled room 322 was not ready (normally ready by 2:00 PM). I had tried to take advantage of the Platinum benefit by asking 3 days in advance if an arrival at noon was possible, but no.
At the front desk, it was a shift change and handover of instructions, and the young woman who was leaving explained to the young man taking over the shift that the rooms reserved for Platinum members (with the real view of the citadel) should not be touched. However, since my room was not ready, he assigned me to the 1st floor, room 114 with a view of the sidewalk; the citadel hidden behind the trees. The best part is that I expressed my disappointment when I ran into the young woman who had given the instructions in front of the elevator. Nothing to be done and no reaction. No more excuses at the start when I shared this point. I am therefore writing it on Google so that they do not forget their customers. ACCOR is more used to upgrading its loyal customers than downgrading them. But that is not the case in this hotel. Unprecedented.

Expensive happy hour. Swerve at all cost.

Happy hour advertised as get second drink half price. Ordered an expensive cocktail then ordered a second to be told they both need to be ordered together to get second half price so paid full for both. The advert says get second 50% off. When I questioned I was dismissed, rude. Won't be back.

Disappointment

Since Tribe took over the Three Crowns, the services of this particular hotel for us who have been staying there for 30 years are minimalist.
The express reservation not to face the parking lot and to have a view from an upper floor of the citadel was ignored. A lot of disappointment and no responsiveness from the staff, who were borderline dismissive…
A page is turning perhaps….

Idyllic location with great food.

Location was just perfect. Our balcony was tiny but the amazing views were worth the extra. The room had everything we needed and was modern, clean and comfortable. You need a few signs indicating location of facilities. Guests don`t have time to play search the restaurant and swimming pool. The restaurant is well laid out with amazing views and good food. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Especial the receptionist who can multi task. She is a gem. Look after her. Thanks for a great stay.
