SUPER WEEK-END FAMILIALES

Pour un week-end de retrouvailles familiales nous avons loué 6 appartements, nous étions 25. Les appartements bien situés, étaient tous propres et bien équipés.
Les différents appartements ont remportés un franc succès auprès de tous les membres. Je pense que le notre avait la plus belle vue (duplex Frères Lumière). La suite Lassagne est majestueuse. Le Soufflot a beaucoup de cachet avec sa cheminée dans la chambre. Le studio Ampère et le loft Brotteaux ont beaucoup de caractère. Mention spécial pour le studio Jarricot qui nous a permis de nous retrouvé tous ensemble pour l'appéro.
Nous étions tous unanime pour dire que c'est un très bon rapport qualité prix au vu de l'emplacement et des prestations, et que nous n'hésiterons pas à y retourner si nous sommes de passage dans la région.
Effectivement pas de propriétaire sur place, mais celui-ci a toujours était disponible par sms. Et les indications données par mail sont claires (à condition de les lires jusqu'au bout, je dis ça pour certains membres de ma famille).
Les appartements étant très proches, nous avons pu passé d'un appart à l'autre sans parcourir des kilomètres pour se retrouver.

21 Royale has several apartments in the buildings, which y Booking.com claims have 2 bedrooms. The Booking.com description for ours, St Expury, was wrong. It had only 1 bedroom and a 2nd bed in a low ceilinged loft accessible only by a vertical steel ladder. That is not a "room" in any language. There was also a tired, old, cheapo sofa bed. We complained to the owner, pointing out that I am 77, recently had knee replacement surgery and cannot climb ladders and my (younger) wife is also not in great shape. Her attitude was that we didn't need 2 bedrooms for 2 people! When I pointed out that I went to a lot of trouble to rent 2 bedrooms because that is what we wanted and that their description did not match reality, the reply was "sometimes bookings is wrong" (sic). The photos I saw before renting clearly showed 2 bedrooms, but it seems they use a selection from all their apartments, not just those of the apartment one is booking. It's a great shame - the apartment was generally good, though to provide a washing machine without any soap and only one capsule for the dishwasher strikes me as pathologically stingy.
Check in involved lots of lengthy email instructions and a last minute demand for a photo of my passport via WhatsApp, a demand for a large security deposit and, eventually, three access codes for the building/apartment. The whole process was convoluted, confusing and indicative of poor service standards.
I won't trust descriptions on Booking.com in future and as for their complaints procedure...! Awarding customers flattering titles - "Genius Level 3 - is not the same as customer service.

Property not as advertised

I was shocked to find that when the booking was confirmed the property was not as shown in Booking.com - it has a 1.6m high mezzanine sleeping platform not a full bedroom as the photos show - and the location was not at 21 Rue Royale, Lyon, as advertised. They also want to charge for everything on top of the rental fee. This site needs to be avoided.
