Very nice family hotel
Hotel HO36 is a warm and very pleasant place to live. The welcome was very friendly and good advice for visiting Lyon! The breakfast formula was ideal for us.

A great stay
This was a really lovely stay - some of the reviews are quite surprising. The staff are all lovely, the breakfast is great to have included and the room I was in had a really lovely bed (private room and bathroom, great shower). It was very hot in Lyon and there is no AC but we knew that in advance and there was a great fan. The carpet in the room was admittedly quite stained but other than that my experience of staying seems much more positive than some of the other reviews. Paid £277 for 4 nights and thought it that was pretty reasonable for what you get

It a bit smelly and the washrooms were not clean. And it was hot and with something itching at night

Outrageous.
Very bad experience.
Booking cancelled only 4 days from arrival on the pretext that I was traveling with children. No professionalism: no excuses, no phone call cut off, no serious alternative accommodation and obviously no compensation. I would definitely not recommend.

Disappointing and overrated experience
Value for money not correct to the views of the whole ...room rate (+ breakfast) we occupied for one night. Far too high price compared to other establishments offering superior services.. "huge" piping noises from the toilet and sink that can startle at the first use. Missing 1 tap cap. Entrance door bedroom with a day of at least 3 to 5 centimeters downstairs, letting the light pass when the hallway is on. Corridor door to the rooms near the door of the occupied room which makes that noise is present when it is handled. Insulation bad room because easy to hear the occupants of the room next door ..black paint throughout the room sadder than class with carpeting on the floor .. and blow marks on angle wall with paint removed ..No ceiling chandelier letting a simple bulb hang at the end of a wire. A shutter does not work, resulting in blackout curtains. Welcome announced 24/24 invisible. Free Wifi but be careful, too insecure to use..no TV in the room ..1 only soap product including unidentifiable fragrance in the shower. 2 coarse plastic cups on bathroom shelves. 1 large towel ,1 medium and 1 small with 1 serving as a shower exit mat..Not worth the price paid. What a disappointment, incorrect compared to the price set ..I really do not understand the praises of some who even advocate perfection when it is very far from the appointment ..you should know how to remain realistic and honest! I am not a specialist and I am also not uncompromising or elitist but just realistic ..certainly, we do not ask for a high-end hotel but at least something simply correct, cozy and at least adapted and in line with the price paid which is ultimately much higher than what we discovered...it is not correct simply ..far from being as well rated and advertised with regard to the shortcomings noted. Frankly, I advise against the private room even if the bar-café-game area on the ground floor seems friendly, when you find a place, but it doesn’t make all ... too many negative points to think about staying in this hotel ..maybe a good accommodation for a hostel at interesting prices but I don’t know ..! Finally, you will understand that paying a sum of 200 euros for one night in this hotel with breakfast (coffee, 1 roll, 1 small butter, 1 croissant, orange juice, 1 slice of white ham with two fries of cheese county) is completely inappropriate.. It’s a shame that the staff has a smile as an option apart from one person at breakfast and at the reception..well, I’m sorry if this realistic comment shocks but it’s only a reflection of my personal experience..
