Beautiful address

Ideally located just steps from the oriental park.
Still just as good and delicious, classic cuisine.
Magnificent setting, relaxed, attentive, and professional service.
Quality is consistent; I have never been disappointed.
A slight touch of originality in the presentation would be welcome.

Very beautiful establishment - Magnificent vegetable garden

I confirm all the very positive reviews about the restaurant, the hotel, and the rooms, with a special mention for the Pompadour room, which has a very beautiful view of the Oriental park below.
Beyond the hotel service, there is also a serene and positive atmosphere; the staff is very attentive to the guests' questions and provides appropriate answers.
Thus, the young employee who presents you with the cheese platter knows all "those from cows" - that was my choice - and names them all by their names while specifying their characteristics.
The head waiter, who always has a keen eye on his team, knows how to put you at ease regarding the choice of dishes while telling you a few words about Pebble Beach golf course.
Take advantage of your visit to explore the vegetable garden of the château, classified as a remarkable garden and honored several times, just like its head gardener who conducts guided tours.
A true well of knowledge, he is above all a very keen observer of nature, its flora, its fauna, and the weather conditions. As a result, he adapts brilliantly and humbly to the sometimes demanding requirements of organic farming in a very large garden (which supplies the restaurant).
Another special mention goes to the gravel paths that suffer from not a single weed, impeccably raked and framed by healthy boxwoods (Pyrales, please refrain...), which remind us of the great tradition of French gardens.
Finally, an owner who discusses with you, pleasantly and passionately, particularly about her vegetable garden and gardens of other châteaux, who deserves much credit for having made Château Colbert a top-notch establishment by surrounding herself with a motivated and smiling team.
This, despite the administrative hurdles and the usual constraints related to a site classified as a historical monument, open to the public.
In summary, a place highly recommended.

EXCEPTIONAL STAY AT CHATEAU COLBERT

Many thanks to the Director and all the staff of Château Colbert! Superb stay: the exceptional place, the staff with little care, always smiling and considerate, the table (Bravo to the Chef and his team) , the location of our room located in the center of the Castle with magnificent views of the Japanese park. Beautiful stay at the castle

Excellent stay, the setting is beautiful and the breakfast is great! However the restaurant is very expensive. The park and vegetable garden are superb. The bedding is very good and the bathroom modern. The price / quality ratio is good. To do when you come around!

Beautiful discovery

A beautiful discovery, the Hotel Colbert and its superb vegetable garden! Excellent dinner, full of creativity (congratulations to the kitchen team). We had booked a room on the 2nd floor, but too small we changed to a larger one. The only downside is the bathroom, which lacks an Italian shower. La Pompadour would have hated the plastic shower cabin with multijets!!!!
