This hotel was in a fabulous location, we had a view of the river and it’s really close to town without being close enough to be annoyed by the noise from bars and restaurants.
We had a family suite which was lovely and the bunk beds were round the corner from our bed allowing me to read by my phone light whilst the kids went to bed.
It was clean with a good shower.
Although there is no onsite parking there is free parking opposite which works well. No complaints from us - we thought it was fabulous.

An unexpected disappointment ...

The hotel had everything going for it, though:
- A beautiful location on the banks of the Loire
- A rather old building built of stone
And yet, disappointment is there ...
1/ Admittedly, the heatwave of the day has something to do with it:
The room temperature was 32 degrees despite a (low-end) fan.
These conditions making sleep almost impossible ...
The hotel has no air-conditioned rooms.
The room is clean, rather pretty with a pleasant view of the river but small.
2/ Breakfast is very likely one of the most basic ones we have had:
A few pastries, a baguette, some fruit, one type of fruit juice, "kettle" coffee, ...
All of poor quality.
3/ Check-in is only possible at certain hours.
CONCLUSION:
This establishment has assets but an upgrade is necessary to make it more compliant with new climatic conditions and to offer a breakfast worthy of the name.

Excellent property right by the river, close to centre of town and with convenient parking opposite.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful and let us into room early.

The welcoming staff was very, very helpful and assisted us in parking our bikes downstairs. The view of the river was incredible!

This hotel is in a lovely position on the side of the River and just 3 mins walk to the town. It is also one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed at. Highly recommend.
