Stay from another time

Very vintage hotel, an experience to have. We were not used to this kind of hotel, but we enjoyed our night in this atypical place. Strong point: perfect receptionist and impeccable cleanliness of the premises.

Location, parking, welcome.

An atypical hotel due to its decor.
We appreciated:
The location:
Next to a square.
Lucien Beaufrere Square. Located on a peninsula between the Berry Canal and the Yèvre River, this square is a classified Historic Monument. It was laid out in the Art Deco style (between 1925 and 1935) by the architect Eugène-Henry Karcher.
The underground parking
The kindness, friendliness, and availability of the hosts.
Perfect for a stopover.

The hotel is ideally placed near to the motorway, so an overnight break is good. It's in a good position with restaurants and bars only a couple of minutes away.
The rooms are small but adequate for what you want. The beds are comfortable. Our room on one night had curtains and and electric roller shutter so total blackout was possible. On the return journey the room only had the shutters. Showers were good and plenty of hot water.
The restaurant was very clean. Breakfast was basic but there were yogurts, fresh fruit, breads, a small amount of scrambled egg, bacon-ish and hotdogs. Coffee from a machine, fruit juices.
The hotel is quirky with posters of 1950' s film stars and film magazines all over.
You pull up to the hotel in a free car park, book in the you can put your car in the underground car park.
There is a supermarket just along the street if you need stuff for an onwards journey.

very good experience

Very pleasant hotel with a great value for money. The renovated room is very clean and bright. The staff is very attentive.

Fairly new owners so work going on to bring hotel up to date. Lovely staff and hotel in great position.
