Lovely part of Greece

Location is great - 5 min walk from the port. The pool area is beautiful and can’t be beaten. Rooms are clean, maids are n every day and air con good. Bar reasonable and food looked good (I didn’t try personally). Staff really friendly and lovely - couldn’t fault them. Breakfast is simple but absolutely suited us. WiFi is a little hit and miss but works really well in certain areas - I would most definitely come back here!

Perfect location

Great location. Beautiful views of harbour area from pool. Pool modern and clean. Plenty of loungers and day beds- but do get taken fairly early in day.
Snacks available at pool bar. good. Breakfast limited especially for dietary requirements. Friendly and helpful staff.
Rooms basic but clean and need updating but adequate for our short stay. Corridors can be very noisy especially in the morning with loud conversations and door slamming- be prepared for an early awakening.
Would recommend this hotel providing you don't have high expectations. Might stay again for perfect position to explore neighbouring islands.

It was fine

Athos hotel is beautiful with a fantastic pool area. (No issues with reserved sunbeds)
The food at lunch was hot and plentiful.
The whole hotel is immaculately clean.
But- a lot of boat people use this hotel (from the small sailing boats) and I feel that as they are only there for a night or 2 they display disrespectful behaviour. One late night there was very loud music coming from the room opposite which was eventually turned off after several guests banged on the door.
The following night a couple were arguing for all to hear, this went on and on
There was no atmosphere! No music at breakfast no music at the pool and no music at the bar.
All of the above made the hotel feel like a very nice hostel

Excellent

Stayed last week with my 14 year old daughter. Cannot rate this any higher. The lady owner and staff are so lovely especially the lady cleaner and lady at the bar every morning / day you all work so hard!. The rooms comfortable, the shower powerful, good Aircon. Breakfast is lovely. I've been coming to nidri for 20 years and this is by far my favourite hotel I wouldn't go anywhere else now.
Clean comfortable welcoming and the bar snacks / lunch are delicious. See you next year.
And for anyone that hasn't been here. Book !!
