Enjoyed our stay!

Exactly as advertised! It is located about a 5min drive from both Pollonia to one side, and Sarakiniko on the other. It is even closer to Papafragas Beach. It is about a 15-20min drive from any of the beaches on the southern side such as Firiplaka or Palechori - but it's much closer to the cities (which was more important to me when you are driving home late after dinner, etc). It has a gas station nearby and a supermarket. The host was lovely and super helpful - the place was very clean and they provided clean towels every other day! They also had some ouzo waiting for us as a welcome gift!

Réservation annulée sans frais. Mais l'hôtel a débité ma CB et refuse de me rembourser.
Booking cancelled according to the cancellation policy (no fee). But my credit card was charged and the hotel refuses to give me my money back

Nice place to stay!

The rooms were nice, we stayed in two different ones, one was renovated and better, the second was standard double studio. Both were nice and we enjoyed our stay there. The owners are super friendly and even came to pick us up from/to the port. And there were also some small treats and drinks waiting for us in the room, which is a nice touch. The only 'complaints' I would have that the internet is not working so good, in and out all the time (but that might not be the houses fault) and that the rooms are smaller in person than they seem on the pics on their web site. We would still very much recommend them to any of our friends.

Quiet location great price

August 2015 was our third time in Milos so we felt we knew the place pretty well. I booked the studio with some trepidation as I had previously stayed either at the main town, Plakes, or the picturesque port of Pollonia. Papafragas Studios was a pleasant surprise as it was next to the sea and in a very quiet area. The amenities were basic (small fridge, electric kettle) but clean and well looked after. Every studio had an aircon as did ours though we didn't use as by leaving the windows open we had all the breeze we wanted. The bed was comfortable and very sturdy, something I particularly appreciated having been plagued by flimsy beds.
The owner was helpful and unobtrusive. He kindly suggested that we can use the balcony as our room did not have a great view and indeed that's were we had our breakfast every morning and our evening beers. But the best thing was that in three minutes walk from our studio was a glorious beach were we could go snorkeling or dive from the rocks. Our mini Sarakiniko in walking distance.
The budget price of the studio, only 49 euros per night for two people, meant that we could splash out and rent a car!
Only problem was that we did not have a kitchen, but having a car we could drive wherever we wanted.

Stay away from this place!!!

Warning! Warning! Warning! Stay away from this place!!! The only room we could get, smelled heavily of mould which is very dangerous for the lungs. A totally unacceptable room! When I explained to the room's owner that my wife is allergic and could not stay in it, he became very stubborn and unpleasant. We explained we could not accept this room under these circumstances, but he did not care, called me a liar and made cynical jokes about my wife’s allergy. He also lied to Booking.com and told them the room had been renovated recently and did not smell at all. In fact it was an old room in a very dark corner of the house and had certainly not been used in a long while. Why did he lie? Because he charged us 50% for a stay of five days for a room we were unable to use at all!!! This is the way the owner makes money on the customer’s behalf! We had to look for another room another place and pay again. Do not get your vacation ruined by this man!!! Stay away from this place!!!
