Great spacious room with fantastic view over the water.
The taxi could not get to the hotel due to pedestrian only area and the rooms are on top of a hill with about 50 steps up.
We didn’t realise to go to the main hotel reception which is a quarter of the way up the hill to register where we would have had help with luggage.
The rooms are situated in a fantastic location for Skiathos town night life. Five minute walk and you can get a drink and food but so many great restaurants and bars close by it’s worth a walk around to see what you fancy.

DISGUSTING SEWAR HOTEL

WARNNG DO NOT STAY HERE, IT IS A DISGRACE TO CUSTOMERS. The DISSGUSTING STENCH OF SEWAR GAS MADE ME SICK. I AM ASTHMATIC, .WE complained to the staff and they made excuses., THOUGH THIS ONGOING STENCH HAS BEEN RECORDED FROM OTHER GUESTS OVER YEARS, SO STAFF ALREADY KNOW THIS PROBLEM AND HAVE DONE NOTHING.. IF WE HAD READ REVIEWS BEFORE GOING WE WOULD NEVER HAVE BOOKED., WE WERE GLAD IT WAS ONLY FOR ONE NIGHT. The BALCONEY DOOR Lock was broken, we were scared someone could break in, so we kept our valuables with us when going out.The room was dirty, though it was supposed to have been cleaned. Hairs on the toilet, and filthy hairs in the bed. A hole behind the bathroom door, worn towels, shower floods everywhere when you use it, but no mop to dry it , as well as old fecal matter around hinges on toilet pan lid.No apologies from useless staff. CRACKED GLASS ON PANEL OUTSIDE BALCONEY, VERY DANGEROUS TO YOUNG CHIILDREN, AS WELL AS LIGHT bulb NOT WORKING FOR BALCONEY. staff would not accept our complaints, just made to feel it was our fault. Stay elsewhere if visiting Skiathos as this horrible hotel is not worth the money as well as the stress to your health. My husband has all the gps tagged photos that show all this information, should it be required.

Great view

The view and terrace is amazing (we stayed in the suite) we encountered cockroaches every day in the rooms crawling up the walls and floor. Outside the accommodation are lots of dirty bins that have been left open which must be contributing to the cockroach situation - this was a real shame as otherwise it was a lovely room.

Amazing sea views on balcony

The Rock Suites by Aria Hotels are located at the end of the old port and up the steep steps. Great welcome and friendly receptionist who got porter to carry our cases up the hill to the room. The room was well equipped and the balcony was large and stunning sea views. Great value for money with fridge and welcome water. The staff couldn’t do enough for you.

Staff was very friendly and view from our small but clean, comfortable room was amazing! The downside is that you have to haul your luggage up an old stone walkway and staircase to check in at The Water hotel. Unfortunately, our bags were 50 lbs (23kg) each. Luckily, a staffer offered to take them the rest of the way to our room at The Rock, which is more old stone stairs up to an old stone walkway away. There are no elevators. Thank goodness for Alberto!
