In line with the price

From the outside, it doesn't even look like a hotel; it is not very visible and also neglected. Once inside, you access a bare lobby typical of the 70s-80s of the Soviet era. From the elevator onward (with glass walls overlooking a lovely internal courtyard), the environment is warmer and more modern. The room is quite new, clean, and well-lit, the same goes for the bathroom. However, the light in the room is not near the bed but only at the entrance; there are no USB charging stations (now mandatory everywhere), just 2 wall outlets placed in front of the beds. The air conditioning is not very efficient, while the pillows are small and flat. The breakfast is continental and well-stocked with good quality products.

Heating was Terrible

The room was pretty nice and comfortable. However, most of the rooms at the time we stayed didn't have heating. After hours of being out in the freezing cold we couldn't take a hot since we didnt have hot water to bath to relax and some rooms were cold.

Wants an upgrade

The best thing about it is that it's accessible. The location is quiet and within walking distance of the city center.
Apart from that, it was a very unpleasant surprise that we didn't have a refrigerator in the room, with 35 Celcious outside! And the staff was unhelpful and not very understanding.

Nice time in Budapest

Very good hotel. We stayed there for three days.The rooms were clean and spacious. They were cleaned every day. We had a small problem with the heating but it was solved immediately. Hasand, the receptionist, was very helpful and polite and did everything he could. Overall, we had a wonderful experience . It is located in a quiet street not far from the city centre.

Actor Hotel , pleasant surprise in Budapest!

We stayed at Hotel Actor in Budapest for 3 days, February 11-13 2024, with a group of students. Truth be told, we checked in quite hesitantly. The students had read negative reviews and we arrived with preconceptions. Here's the truth about the hotel:
Location: Close to the center, area with direct access to restaurants and cafes. Supermarket right next to the hotel.
Cleanliness: Very clean, with all necessities in the bathroom.
Quietness: Very close to a main road yet nothing disturbs you. Very quiet.
Safety: Absolute. Until 23:00 when we were moving around with students in the wider area, no problems at all.
Breakfast: Sufficient, fresh, variety of savory and sweet options. Very good!
Room and bathroom size: Very spacious.
Staff: Helpful, professional. Sahand on the night shift was wonderful! Calm, immediately responsive to all our requests, polite, effective. We will remember him. Greetings from the whole school, Sahand!
Value for money: Perfect match.
It would be good if the hotel sign was lit up! To be visible from afar.
