The InterContinental Budapest enjoys an excellent location on the banks of the Danube next to the Chain Bridge. All important sights are within easy walking distance.

Shamelessly enjoyed a break here.
We stayed a full 3 days. Wanted to stay here for the renowned unobstructed view of the Buda Castle district day & night and Cub InterContinental.
Hotel looked after the limos from Franz Listz Bud airport.
In 3 days we spent a total of 6 hours doing siteseeing. Buda Castle District, Sunset Cruise and a wander around town around Elizabeth Square. The rest was a good slum around in the room, club, the spar & Corso terrace.
As it was 2 birthday break we got lots of gifts which were appreciated. Also a very nice meal in Corso and drinks on the promenade terrace.

Excellent hotel. Excellent location.
This hotel has the most spectacular views of the Buda palace and the Danube. The location is incredible and you can walk easily through the main shopping streets of Pest and easily over the Chain bridge to Buda. The buffet breakfast is also excellent.

Great hotel, and amazing employees
I booked this hotel to celebrate my partner's birthday. We arrived at the hotel and told the person in front of the hotel that we were going to the 1st floor to check in and he accompanied us up to the 1st floor lounge. The guy who entertains and checks in on us there is Laszlo if I'm not mistaken of his name and it was a smooth check in, we were given a room on the 9th floor at the end which is 935 and it was a nice view of the Danube. We were told to relax a bit and have drink or snacks before heading to our room to which we did.
The stay in the hotel with lounge access was amazing, all people there were all connected or in team work, the body language says they are in tune to each other. The choices of food in lounge and the cozy atmosphere helps you to relax, take note some kids are also allowed but parents trained their kids and so well behaved.
Room Aircon during the heatwave or summer wont help, so i suggest close the curtain during the day or write a note to room cleaners not to open the curtain to keep the room cool, luckily I bought a foldable and portable fan to keep us cook as we are not really into hot weather. Room size was ok for us, the view overlooking the Danube every day or night was amazing.
Towels and cleaning of the room was done everyday, please ensure you put a proper tag on your door.
Location-the best location for us, i initially booked a famous hotel cafe but realised the view and access to Buda will take time so I opted for this Hotel plus I'm an IHG member and so happy I chose this.
The staff, concierge, and front house guys are so polite and kind. They are very helpful to be honest.
Lounge- great service, great choices of food and snacks, so friendly and very lovely employees( each of them each day).
People comment that this hotel needs a touch up or refurbishment but for me it adds character to the hotel. Most importantly, we have a great sleep, amenities and comfort and are accessible to everything.
We will definitely be back again to Budapest and we will stay here again for sure.

Best location in Beautiful Budapest
5 amazing nights in Budapest and we were so very pleased with the Intercontinental! Definitely one of the best locations! Check in flawless. Lifts super fast! All staff charming and polite. Our room was lovely, spacious, comfortable and clean. All rooms have showers in the bath but not a problem, pressure great. Concierge was so helpful! Breakfast really good, great choices, loved it. Terrace bar very nice and the menu is limited but food was good! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting that beautiful city! Good value for money

Beautiful Budapest
Great location with breathtaking views of the Danube. Lovely and delicious breakfast on the patio. Rooms in need of a refresh. Slow and inefficient processing charges as well as posting elite nights and points.
