Peaceful, beautiful winery and B&B in the Hungarian countryside.

We visited the winery last fall as part of an AMAWaterways excursion. Not only were the buildings and winery grounds beautiful, the wine was delicious and best of all, we were fortunate to have their charming owner give us a personal tour. This would be a lovely place to stay in the Hungarian countryside.

A top-tier Pincészet experience: Exceptional wine, food, and spa

We had a truly wonderful stay at Takler Kúria! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome with their warm and professional hospitality.
​The facilities are top-notch. We spent a lot of time in the wellness area, enjoying the indoor pool and sauna, and the massages were the perfect way to unwind. The property itself is beautiful. We even met a very friendly cat wandering the grounds!
​As for the food and drink: the meals were absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with their world-class wines. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway in Hungary with great food, great wine, and a great atmosphere, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!

Good, but not ideal

Had to stay overnight after visiting a new supplier and decided to try Takler Kuria. The descriptions and pictures were very promising, reality, however, was not fully able to keep the promises. The staff at the reception upon arrival was newbie level - can happen, but not knowing if and where we could store our luggage to bridge the gap between arrival and room readiness should not happen at that price level. Staff during checkout was more professional but also had another issue in common - smiling. OK, we dont need the receptionists to perform a welcome dance, but at least some sign of "happy to have you with us" would be nice, instead it was more like "why do we get foreigners in our place" - maybe just a bad day for them. Our room was not in the main building, which is a bit of a hassle when you want to visit the spa (,which IS in the main building). Their spa. Built on the third floor of the building, featuring a nice pool, 2 jacuzzis, some deckhairs, a bio sauna (60C), a salt room, an infrared sauna, a steam room (not working), and a Finnish sauna (80C+). The Finnish sauna is way too small, though - the scent there is thus questionable, and you really dont want to spend much time there - bit of a bummer. The room itself was clean, the beds are very good, there are no toiletries in the bathroom, though (not necessarily a minus as the hotel category probably does not require them). The breakfast almost made me deduct another star. This was really sub-par. Replenishing the already meagre selection of cheeses and sausages took too long, and the choice of everything else was also mediocre at best. We were expecting a breakfast matching the dinner, but it was far from that level - this came as a big surprise because Hungary has a fantastic cuisine, hence it is not understandable why the breakfast was so pitiful. Overall, the stay was fine, but not ideal or exceptional.

Just an ok stay

I was excited to stay here, and it was rather dissapointing. The rooms are very basic, no suitcase stands to place bags. The staff at reception, seemed rather in robot mode, not much joy in the job. The bathroom is extremely small, and a strange odor came form somewhere, had to keep window open whole time. Plus....Breakfast was extremely good with many fabulous Hungarian additions.... and a plus they do have an elevator, also the hotel is extremely clean...if in a bind stay here

Top class

It is a must to drop in here on your way to Pecs or south of Hungary. It is a hidden jewel. The mansion is located in a beautiful setting. They also have a big car cark.
The staff is top class and you can supply your household with a great collection of wines as well.
