A place where you connect to self !
I recently stayed at Cedar Inn, Darjeeling with my son and parents and it was truly one of the most memorable hotel experiences I’ve had in the Himalayas. From the moment you step in, you feel the warmth and intention behind everything.
The highlight? The spectacular view from our room — absolutely breathtaking! Waking up to this panoramic sight of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks glowing in the golden sunrise light, with layers of mist rolling through the valleys below, was pure magic. The attached photos barely do justice to the real thing. The foreground with lush greenery and traditional rooftops frames the mountains perfectly — it felt like we had a private viewing deck to one of nature’s greatest shows.
What truly set Cedar Inn apart, however, was the personalized hospitality. The service went way beyond expectations — attentive, warm, and genuinely caring. Every staff member made us feel like family. I later learned this comes directly from the owner (a monk), whose beautiful philosophy guides the entire team: “Whoever walks in through the main door has some karmic relation with us — so give them your best.”
You can feel that philosophy in every interaction. It creates an atmosphere that’s not just professional, but deeply heartfelt. The thoughtfulness, the little touches, and the way guests are treated with such respect and care — it’s rare and special.
If you’re planning a trip to Darjeeling and want a place that offers both jaw-dropping views and soul-warming hospitality, look no further than Cedar Inn. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back! ❤️️

Our breakfast at Hotel Cedar Inn, Darjeeling was truly one of the highlights of our stay. The buffet offered an excellent variety of fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented dishes, catering to both Indian and continental tastes. We opted for Ala carte. Every item was prepared with great care, and the quality, freshness, and flavors exceeded our expectations.
What made the experience truly exceptional was the remarkable hospitality of the restaurant team. A special thanks to Dipen Mukhia, whose warm welcome, professionalism, and attention to every guest created a wonderful dining atmosphere. Rabin provided attentive and courteous service with a genuine smile, ensuring that every request was handled promptly. Arjun Thapa was incredibly efficient, polite, and dedicated to making our breakfast experience seamless. Pratibha impressed us with her kindness, cheerful attitude, and thoughtful care, making us feel completely at home. Krishna was equally outstanding, consistently delivering prompt, friendly, and professional service throughout our meal.
The entire team worked together flawlessly, demonstrating exceptional hospitality and a sincere commitment to guest satisfaction. Their warmth and dedication turned an already excellent breakfast into a truly memorable experience.

Beautiful Ceder
It was an amazing stay , very comfortable and with delicious food and hospitality of the hotel staff. Due to monsoon season scenery from our room were not clear but enjoy the play of clouds and heritage beauty of the hotel ambiance a lot .

Best property with scenic views and personal care and concern..feel like second home
Experience was awesome..the hospitality the care the concern and mostly personal care of all staff especially Mr. Sanjay is outstanding...I had been a regular traveller but never seen such care and personal concern never...my family is truly happy while visiting property... property is beautiful with scenic views and fully give u feel that u r residing in some foreign country property ..Thanks

Outstanding Stay at Cedar Inn, Darjeeling
We had an absolutely amazing stay at Cedar Inn. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The views from the hotel are simply breathtaking, offering stunning panoramas of the mountains that make every morning special.
The rooms were spacious, spotless, and very well maintained. Cleanliness throughout the property was exceptional, and the overall ambiance was peaceful and relaxing. The hospitality of the staff deserves special appreciation—they were warm, courteous, professional, and always willing to help, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was comfortable.
