Best Semi-Luxury Stay in Diveagar with Great Amenities, Virgin Beach Access, and Excellent Service
Located in midst of coconut lagoon, Cocohut resort is the best semi luxury hotel in Diveagar. It was my 2nd visit to this resort due to my great experience during the 1st visit. Best part of this resort is that it is walking distance from the virgin beach which is less crowded and has multiple water sports activity. They have a really quick customer service and ample amenities for adults and kids to enjoy like swimming pool, pool table, fuse ball, table tennis, swing etc all in a very maintained manner. Food options are limited but good in taste. The bed is very comfortable and they have hot water facility 24/7.

Unprofessional Staff
We recently stayed at Cocohut Resort and while the property itself is good and the amenities are decent, the overall experience was extremely disappointing due to the staff’s behavior.
We chose this resort mainly because of its convenient location near the beach, which is definitely a plus. However, the staff—especially the male manager and the female receptionist—were very unprofessional and rude throughout our stay. They were unhelpful, didn’t answer our queries properly, and showed no sense of hospitality.
One of the most frustrating incidents was when our friends’ children were not allowed to play in the pool. The staff argued with them, saying that guests in nearby rooms were sleeping. However, when those same guests later used the pool, no such restrictions were enforced. This kind of biased and inconsistent behavior was very disappointing.
The manager and receptionist were often seen sitting in the waiting area chatting instead of attending to guests at the reception. When we approached them, the manager spoke in a very rude tone, which made the situation even worse.
Additionally, there were several service-related issues:
- No à la carte orders were accepted before 12 PM and after 9 PM.
- Breakfast was not flexible—guests were expected to eat whatever was prepared, with no option to order.
- Housekeeping entered the room for cleaning even while women were resting inside, which was extremely uncomfortable and unacceptable.
Overall, the experience was not worth the price we paid.
On a positive note, the nearby Aniket Khanaval (just opposite the resort) serves excellent food, and the lady there is incredibly warm and welcoming—something the resort staff could learn from.
If the owner is reading this, I strongly suggest hiring trained and professional staff. With better service, this property has the potential to offer a much better experience.

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Price
We recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, it was a major letdown. While the only redeeming factor is its close proximity to the beach, everything else about the property failed to meet expectations.
The hotel itself feels gloomy and damp, far from the welcoming atmosphere one hopes for during a vacation. The swimming pool was unusable due to visibly dirty water, which was a serious hygiene concern.
What’s even more disappointing is the stark difference between the online photos and the actual condition of the property. The images are highly misleading and do not reflect the real experience guests can expect.
The food served at the hotel was below average, and we quickly discovered that there are multiple, far better dining options just a short walk away.
We had originally booked a 2-night stay, but ended up checking out after the first night and moved to a nearby hotel that offered a significantly better experience for the same price.
I would not recommend this hotel, especially considering the many better options available in the vicinity. It's simply not worth the money.

Horrible. Don't go. Overcharged and under delivered
This place is FALSE ADVERTISING. The images are nothing like the real resort it's a tiny little place very cramped like a mini "chawl". It's just glamorised photo shoot. The walk to the beach is extremely filthy. This is NOT a resort. The outside is also a unsanitary unsafe view.
The rooms are badly maintained, nothing worked, water was leaking, ac not working, pooling the center of the hotel so extremely noisy for rooms and unpleasant view. Pool doesn't appear to be maintained or cleaned on regular basis.
Room door was stuck.
Water leaking in bathroom and on balcony making it unsafe and prone to accident.
Shame on them for lying to customer with false information.

Cocohut Diveagar- Fantastic
Less than 100m from the most beautiful beach in Maharashtra. Affordable prices. Breakfast included. Swimming pool. AC. Hot water. Nice mattress. Great restaurants in hotel and nearby. Beach has paragliding, quad biking, jet skis
