Hotel Apsara...

Perhaps this was the best budget hotel you can find in Jeypore. Although the rooms weren't excellent but the were Ok from the price point of view. I had to stay here for 2 nights and this was the best one I could find. The food was better than I expected. The staff was very much polite and helpful.They will help you whenever you need. Overall it was a nice experience to stay here.

Dirtiest hotel ever

The worst hotel after 25 days in India. The dirt is everywhere, the bathroom has not been deep cleaned in years, the furnitures are stained and cockroaches run around the room and the corridor. In the bathroom the sink in removed from the wall: one has to be careful when using the tap for the risk of making it fall over. The towel-rail hangs from the wall. The air conditioning socks misses the cover and does not look safe.

Bed bugs everywhere!!!

This place is infested with bed bugs!!!
At first I was happy to get a spacious room with a king size bed and a soft mattress after all the rooms I got the previous nights with hard brick mattresses.
That was until I realized that there were crawling insects on the bed, hiding in the seam of the pillow case and then coming out at night from under the mattress when I'm sleeping.
I woke up, turn on the light and noticed an invasion of bed bugs in my bed!!!
I went to the reception and they told me that I would change room the next day. For now they would spray around the mattress. I didn't know at that point what it was until I checked online about bed bugs and what they look like.
I couldn't sleep all night because of the thought of being biten.
The second night, I moved from the third to the second floor. Same thing!!!
My back is full of red bites.
I have never experienced it anywhere else!!!

better than i expected

its a really small town with very little tourist. but i was quite happy with them and the service. room is clean, restaurant food is good. and theres one really cheerful guy on the customer service line. i remember i had arrived after a long train journey and was famished and cold. he tells me let me send you the coffee first while we get your food ready.
also booked cars with them. easy and helpful hotel.
theres a few old palaces in the area worth visiting. cant find them listed on tripadvisor

the only choice

the best place in town to stay (no choice really!) bedroom and bathroom o.k. breakfast better than I expected and made as you order it. - no fresh fruit and juice sometimes sometimes not. The second morning I was there the table cloths were disgusting. Evening meal was o.k. and appeared to be popular place for groups eating out. Staff very pleasant. Good location as one block off main road which becomes a market in the evening. Definately a city of motorbikes especially at night.
