Accomodating host
We stayed there for 3 weeks and the host are very good to us. Theyre very easy to talk to and gave in for what we requested. The room was very good and the big was huge. We had a big breakfast and it tasted good. Our only complain was the scooter who came in and out during night time. It interupts our sleep as the parking area was just infront of our window. Oh, one more thing, the verandah gives you very little privacy to the guests next door. Other than that, its all beautiful.

DO NOT VISIT
Yande happily scammed myself and fellow traveller out of $150. Made a booking through air BnB and upon arriving his staff said there was no availability and they double booked. Called the owner to sort out this situation and he had no intention of helping what so ever as all he wanted was for us to cancel through air BnB so we didn't receive a refund. Yande even went to the extent of hanging up on us twice and no longer answered our phone calls when all we wanted was for him to cancel the booking in order for us to get his money back. After this his staff who had been speaking to us previously pretended to not understand English and ignored us when asking for further help.

Chill place
If there is a place you can stay, chill and relax.. Inten House is onevof them.
We had a lovely room (AC, fan, TV, hot shower, fridge), good breakfast, help with trip bookings (helpfull owners) and the location is great (close to many things).
Maybe not a backpacker place, but for couples it's a great place.

Sweet Cozy Homestay Amazing Artwork!
A gem of a find. The homestay I was staying at ran out room and I hadn't booked far enough in advance to continue my stay. So I ended up having to find a homestay nearby and I wanted one within walking distance of where I was. I looked up the inten house on Agoda.com and saw the reviews. Based on the reviews I decided to stop by and talk to the owner myself. It turned out he had a room for me.
I decided to stay only one night at first then I moved to the air con room w a nice sized fridge and ended up staying several nights. As it turned ou, There was lovely group of people staying there all at the same time so it made for a sweet community atmosphere -like family.
I have to say some of the most impressive features of this small puts me the homestay is all the detail that's footed would work on the homestay itself and also the painting as well as the fountains. It may not offer a pool or a spy or restaurants, however, it offers a lot of sweet beauty, and the feel of being with the family which has its own benefits!
I would stay there again. The breakfast is great so is the quiet location, plus a full laundry service offered right next door! You will have to trek down the long one way alleyway off hanuman across the street from the Namaste Store. Motor bike rentals and activities offered with this homestay. Plus a lively little girl named Inten who will steal your heart

Genuine local experience
Inten House was a refurbished Balinese Compound. Wayan & his wife made me feel very welcome from the start. Wayan has excellent English and was very keen to make sure I enjoyed my stay.
Breakfast was cooked fresh every morning and was complimentary.
The room was spacious and spotlessly clean.
The bed was large and comfortable.
It was walking distance to the monkey forest and the main shopping / eating areas.
The shower water pressure and temperature was the best I have ever seen in this type of accommodation however there were some issues with water build up at the bottom of the shower. I feel this is a reflection on Bali infrastructure in general as opposed to Inten house.
Things to consider when staying here
There were lots of mosquitos. Bring coils and body spray.
No mosquito net on the bed.
No airconditioning in the room and not much ventilation. There was a ceiling fan that was adequate, however it was a hot night sleep.
Wayan was keen for me to use his driver / services but I found that if I was clear that I had everything already organised that he wasn't pushy.
Wayan's wife has very little English. It would be worth learning a few key Indonesian words or downloading an app on your phone if Wayan is not around to help.
I would definitely stay here again. The wood carvings and interior design were exquisite.
