A hostel worth trying

My sister and I stayed at this hostel/hotel for three nights while in Dublin. We had a private room with a double bed and a set of bunk beds. I am not a person who likes hostels, so it is a little surprising to me how much I liked our stay here.
Check-in is at 3:00 pm, but because our room was ready, we were able to go straight up when we arrived at 10:00 am. The room was clean, and bedding was provided for the bunk beds (the double bed was already made up). The bathroom was narrow, but clean.
Pros: Good location for walking and sightseeing. Close to Ha'Penny Bridge, walkable to Heuston Station. The staff are very helpful. It's a safe neighbourhood to walk through (even early in the morning), lots of transit options and good restaurants.
Cons: The bathroom fan was loud, and the light switch for the bathroom was by the door, not near the bathroom.
This is a good option for people who are looking for somewhere to sleep but are planning on spending most of their time enjoying Ireland. I would stay here again.

Bad Attitude , Wrong Information online

says on internet they accept cash but this is not true as I found out. I am sick to death of google having incorrect information and places not updating the records bec they ca not be bothered and do not realise that it causes issues for other people when travelling.

Dont bother, the staff dont.

Stayed for one night to attend a concert. Staff were really curt and pretty unfriendly, the three women on reception were more interested in each other than any pesky customers, one even hitting me with the card machine purposely in the elbow into the bargain when I went to pay. We believe we were overcharged by them but they couldn't be arsed to check anything and said it wasn't their problem. Our room was just ok, bed was terrible though and sunk in the middle, its way overpriced for two ppl, we could have easily got a lovely hotel in the centre of Dublin with breakfast & not have to change our own bed too. Not the cleanest place either, the floor was in need of a good scrub. The clincher though was the bottle smashing & full partying in the space behind the hostel, it went on all night until around 7AM. The really stingy 10AM checkout was the final straw. We wernt even asked how our stay was upon leaving, its like the staff know its poor but they also can't be bothered. For nearly three hundred euros you can do alot better so dont waste your time. Shame on you Abigail, we will never be back and hope this review costs you as much or more than you overcharged us by.

Super location, close to bus stops, coaches, airport express...
Walking distance to Temple bar, Trinity college, national gallery...
The staff is very efficient.
The bathroom is a bit old and small, but in good condition.

Good location for transit options. Affordable. Clean. Secure.

Solo traveler exploring Ireland for the first time. I felt safer in this 10-bed hostel room than a traditional hotel room. Safety in numbers. Staff was friendly and helpful. They allowed me to store my backpack in secure lobby lockers before check-in time, so I could tourist for a few hours. Lobby was spacious and inviting, with lots of seating. Clean bed sheets and towels were given to me at check-in. Key cards needed for entry door and room door. Room was crowded, but surprisingly quiet with 10 people. Within the room, there wasn't much luggage security, bring your own locks if desired. I left stuff on my bunk all long weekend and luckily nobody touched it. The shower room was okay, wish there were more shelves and hooks for my pajamas, towels, etc, while bathing. Excellent location for transit options, which I used all vacation. My second hostel experience ever, all good.
