Ideal stop along the Kerry way

A nice pub with very kind a host. An Ideal stop for the Kerry way hikers like myself, generous service and a supply store with practical meals for backpackers.

Wonderful stay and great assistance.

Shout out here to Noreen, the person who runs the climbers in. This was a last-minute vacation for us. We arranged it on our without a tour group. He called her on the phone and she reserved our room and our arranged our baggage transfers from one into the next, we were hiking the carry way. She also arranged for a place for us to stay in the next town. That was the last leg of our journey. The room was just what we needed. The Publix convenient and everything went as she had promised it would.

No alternative, literally...

As a stage while hiking the Kerry Way, there is actually no alternative in the area.
The room was very small. There was hardly any space to store luggage. Above all, we wondered why at least a few hanging options were not provided.
Dinner at the pub was quite alright and a huge portion. Breakfast was fine. What did not work (unfortunately only became apparent later) was that the bread in a (additionally paid) lunch package was moldy.

Great base for hiking Carrauntoohill.

Great base for hiking Carrauntoohill,very friendly and obliging staff.It had everything that is required for a stay in the area.You can look forward to a good meal and a decent pint after a hike.

A warm welcome when we needed it most

After finishing our hike up Carrauntoohil, 16 of us stayed at the Climbers Inn in Glencar and couldn't have asked for a better place to unwind.
We arrived later than expected after a long day on the mountain, tired, hungry, and ready for a rest. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating, making sure we were looked after and that we got food despite our late arrival. That level of hospitality was hugely appreciated and really made a difference after such a demanding day.
The rooms were comfortable, clean, and exactly what we needed to relax and recharge. Throughout our stay, everyone was friendly, welcoming, and happy to help.
A sincere thank you to the whole team at the Climbers Inn for making us feel so welcome. We left with great memories and would happily recommend it to anyone tackling Carrauntoohil or visiting the area.
