Very Disappointing Experience – Not Recommended
Unfortunately, our stay at the Dan Eilat Hotel was a major disappointment.
There were long waiting times everywhere — parking, elevators, dining room, and pool. Our room was also not quiet, with children repeatedly knocking on the door and ringing the bell.
However, the worst part was the treatment we received at reception. We booked two rooms for two couples and clearly explained at check-in that there were no children with us. Later, we were told there was an error in the reservation and that we had to pay extra for additional guests.
Instead of resolving the issue professionally, the reception manager took our room keys and refused to return them unless we paid. We felt extremely uncomfortable and disrespectfully treated, as if we had done something wrong.
We came to relax and enjoy our vacation, but ended up spending our time dealing with problems and complaints. We eventually cut our vacation short and went home.
The hotel itself is beautiful and luxurious, but unfortunately, the service and especially the attitude at reception completely ruined our experience.

wanderful hotel' good atmosphere excelent service 100 points
the best 5 stars hotel in Ailat close to the sea. rooms are quiet and
pleasent. good a/c.in the room and at the publik area .the room was very clean and twise a day changing towels. Queit lobby with a lot of place and very calm. Service was exellent!!! problem in my room was solved in miniuts .HOPE to visit again.

Probably The Best Resort In Israel we’ve been to
We’ve just came back home from Dan Eilat with the whole family and return to this hotel every time and feel as if it was built yesterday and everything is new, feels so special . We made our yearly vacation to the hotel almost regularly since the year it opened and there is no doubt that this is the best hotel in the Israel, from the service to the rooms, to the food, to the pools and even down to the sea. A very high-level resort. The prices are slightly above average, but you pay for quality and there are also great discounts for club members - thanks again to all the amazing staff! Very valuable for money

Frustrating, Old, Wasted Potential
The positives:
-A great location with direct beach access (free lounges and umbrellas)
-Nice pools with free towel service and lifeguards
-Things "work"- great hot showers / good water pressure, clean beds, AC works, no elevator issues, housekeeping was efficient
The negatives:
-Slow, inefficient front desk staff, both at check-in and check-out
-Spotty English ability across the entire property
-Most of the staff act "put out" when asked to do their jobs
-Generally awful, aloof, slow customer service including rude parking attendant
-Dated, used rooms; facilities showing their wear; 80s inspired decor with 40s-50s music in the the restaurant
-No full service restaurant that is not kosher. "meat" restaurant closes at 6pm, so hopefully you don't want a full dinner
-Breakfast staff is oblivious- I watched a used table that had not been bused when we arrived stay dirty our entire meal. I added plates to it and they remained and were still there when we left. This was par for the course over our stay. Our used plates were never bused during our meals. No one showed up at the coffee bar on our last day until the very end of our meal (we sat down around 7:15am).
-Parking is an absolute mess, not guaranteed and overbooked meaning that one has to wait in line with other cars to leave for spaces to open up
-The wonderful "reminder" note (see attached photo)- reminding us that they were going to kick us out at 11am (we planned and did leave by 8:30am)
This place, because of its' location has so much wasted potential to be a really nice hotel, but poor customer service, dated facilities, and cultural constraints make it somewhere that I would not recommend to an international traveler, nor would I stay here again.
